from an invisible being creating the universe to ancient aliens seeding the earth and everywhere in between. what are your thoughts and why do you believe, preferably i would like to see answers from the heart and not so much scriptural reference or science journals
dreamhunter

well then, in a nutshell? I think that there had to be some force which created everything, i'm not giving it a name. this force then wandered off and has left us be ever since. that's as good as i can do without a thirty page summary accompanyment.

thank you glacies, that is exactly what i was looking for , simple heart felt beliefs in relation to the origin of the universe as we know it

Oneness and Unity, we are all a congruent part of the whole process of life, wheter we are aware of this or not , no one is 'superior' or less than blah blah blah ......

God created humanity, and all the seen and unseen. The human race are all brothers and sisters, and no nationality is superior than another. The answer to the question of where did we come from, is simple 'God did it!'

Why do I believe it? Its the most credible and logical explanation available.

I agree with Glacies. Something had to create this world...It is too well designed like a machine to not have a creator. I also think there is some evolution involved but that it got started by a creator. But whatever it is...has since left. And I really don't think it even cares if we are still here or not. Or, perhaps, it is those pesky aliens that keep coming to visit us to see how we are doing yes.gif

my own thoughts are that in the begining there was a supermassive singularity made up of elements from the previous universe collapsed in on itself until it reached critical mass and exploded in a way in which we could never comprehend, this is what i call universal cycling and we are a part of it somewhere in the middle of the current cycle

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. I hope you are.

Science has pretty much nailed it down. I think the only reason they haven't found "God" or spiritual energy is that they are not looking for it!Of course the biblical accounts, and other religious texts, are very flawed.his does not at all mean that there is spiritual guidance therein. The "bible", esp. the Hebrew Scriptures, needs to be regarded as literature. I have read many science fiction stories that contained spiritual truths. It doesn't negate this that they were written as deliberate fiction!Have any of you read "The Left Hand of Darkness"?

I get into reading sci-fi and this looks like it might be good.

Paranoid Android
In the worlds before Monkey, primal chaos reigned. Heaven sought order. But the phoenix can fly only when its feathers are grown. The four worlds formed again and yet again, as endless aeons wheeled and passed. Time and the pure essences of Heaven, the moisture of the Earth, the powers of the sun and the moon all worked upon a certain rock, old as creation. And it became magically fertile. That first was named 'Thought'. Tathagata Buddha, the Father Buddha, said, 'With our thoughts, we make the world'. Elemental forces caused the egg to hatch. From it then came a stone monkey. The nature of Monkey was irrepressible!

The universe is the result of a giant accident billions of years ago and the being that made the accident is to darn lazy to clean it up. ;-)
