It is a little bit matrix kind of thing but there will be holes that some will see and I dare say point out but have a go.

It is something that I came across a long time ago and the question was about AI.

Artificial intelligence, how?

Goes something like this, we have intellect through consciousness, yeh?

Our consciousness is brought about through a central neural processing plant (brain).

The brain is composed of neural transmitters and receivers. The more the better, the bigger the better!

Then look at what we are using here and now, the web! Millions of little transmitters and receivers all connected all the time!

Even when you turn off your computer it is still connected through the phone socket, a direct link from phone socket to processor! Reason for digital me thinks. Everything contains processors and is being hooked up to this web!

How long before it achieves consciousness?

Who will be at the helm of the new level of consciousness?

Is this the meaning of new world order?????

1984 could be just around the corner? Could it be that simple?

I think the size of the brain could be a problem though.

A larger brain does not necessarily mean more intelligence; the fastest speed the info could travel between the neuron transmitters and neuron receivers is the speed of light. So bigger the brain, the more distance all this info would have to travel. In effect the brain would be slower, less effective, less intelligent than a smaller sized one.

But maybe there is a way round this problem?

I had a bit of trouble understanding this- Are you proposing that the Internet is rather like a robot, and might, on its own, gain intelligence?

And if it came to pass, I think the US government would try to rule this new "robot".

Foxy, not a robot but a consciousness capable of independent thought, couple that with a logic beyond that of ours and we have a new way of looking at the world and the reason for existence?

The concept is in relation to how our consciousness is reliant upon collective synaptic stimuli.

Society is a pre-programmed construct, to a fashion, education steers our beliefs, yeh, the whole individual experience is part of a collective. Society needs input, guidance, direction.

The idea of artificially creating a consciousness is one hell of a reach but if it is to be achieved a model has to be followed and here I am trying to show how the first point has to be dealt with.

I am asking for a leap in imagination not in faith……

We look at how different countries around the world accept each other and for most, believe it or not, most of the average kids around the planet share similar traits, kids will be kids, then we look at the governing bodies and then society….?

America, total paranoid state but it has been pushed upon them. They have always had to have a common enemy. North-south, east-west, Russia, Korea, Cuba, the list is endless. And it is historical fact that the government not the people push the fear, the people are just expected to accept that the rest of the world hates them BUT we don’t…..!!!!! your government is like all western bodies, they have inherited the war machine……! A legacy of the Christian faith……!

Sorry but it had to be said. I don’t hate America nor its leaders, I just hate the heritage and how it is perpetuated. Look up the true definition of DEMOCRACY and you will see how far off the mark the western world is. Christianity gives way to democracy, both are forced upon those we need, they have something we need so we need to take it through what ever lame ass reason is fronting the western way.

And it really wouldn't surprise me, seeing the way some people in this country like to think that they're better than everyone else.
I must agree that our media is QUITE corrupt. They only report what THEY consider to be news instead of telling us about what actually might BE news. (Do I really care what Britney Spears or other celebrities are doing in their spare time, people? NO.) Some stories that are MORE than worthy to be on the news go unreported because of the ethnicity of the person that it's about (Had to get me going, didn't you, JC? ) Remember when Elizabeth Smart was kidnapped and you couldn't read the news without hearing about her? At about that same time, in Philadelphia, a young black girl was also kidnapped and tied up in a basement while her captors went about their business. Difference between this girl and Smart was that, while Smart sympathized with those who took her, and kept quiet for quite a while, the young black girl mananged to CHEW her way out of her bonds and go to the police. (or her parents, I can't quite remember how it went at the moment.)
The point of all my babble is about what you said, the corruptness of the media. The Internet is but another way for them to selectively control what the populace hears. (I COULD get started on Fox News, but that's a whole other post full of ranting. ) Although I suppose it could be argued that with the Internet, people aren't limited in what they see going on in the world. I could make a valid case for either argument.

Then foxy, you will understand that out of the chaos comes organised chaos and then it filters down from that.

I remember the internet at its birth. A search usually threw up a handful of related topics. Archives were open to the general public without charge and information was freely exchanged.

Now it is slowly becoming policed and governed and the general use is being streamlined albeit ever so subtle but certain areas have been closed down and freedom of speech is a hot topic to those who need to control.

Wow, do I sound paranoid or what but its true and its slowly shutting down or narrowing in the level of information we can access.

I used the web over the years and have been in contact with a wide and diverse crowd and some of the restrictions some people are up against, well you start to get a bigger picture when a guy who has spent his whole life passionately following his chosen career in the name of science threatened, his status and career, all because of what his findings where pointing to. He posted something he should have had CLEARENCE for. The guy was an astrologer, he specialised in gravitational field structures of planetary movement. He now is retired at the age of 48, not his choice…..

The web is a tool, one hell of a cloak screen as to the real reason behind it time will only tell but as a whole we do blindly accept what it is being pushed as.

As for America, it was set up as a testing ground for all political agendas to be explored. Fifty odd states all with their own set of laws, society didn’t stand a chance. Guinn pigs comes to mind. If a new world order is to work then the theories on how it is to be governed have to be proven and boy are the Americas living proof of that.

Divide and conquer, they started by dividing up your nation and then they divided up your consciousness and you just struggle to accept what it is they have done and are doing.

Getting back to this web thingy, to understand is to observe, once the boundaries have been reached you then have a better understanding of how to control. Isn’t that why we accept our governing bodies? We ask them to protect us but who will protect us from them?

C’mon, its ridiculous, we appoint these governing bodies, term after term they continue to let us down. We just want good education, health and peace and what do we end up with? The media!

Soon countries will ban other countries from accessing their web space. Censorship will become the main agenda. They will use things like perversion, children’s liberties, religious beliefs, what ever they feel like telling you they will use against this freedom and it will only be for the select.

Once it reaches optimum operating levels wham, a total shut down to the average guy and then it will be exploited to the nines and we wont stand a chance. Everything you do is here and here you will become immortal, at least for six years or so until your credit determines otherwise.

Is it time for a revolution…..? Could the great American folk finally show the rest of the world how to exercise our liberties….? The law is there for all to exploit, I am sure we could find the loop hole and use it for our defence before they pull the rug from under us……?

Why does does everyone hate the U.S. so much? I doubt its because we have a bad government. My guess is we are a wealthy nation and are free. I wish more people were as lucky as us. Maybe some people like JC2 will be as lucky. We can only hope.
