I've been reading this site since early 2004 and I have recently been becoming more and more of a skeptic. The reason for this is all of the photoshoped pics and hoaxes. How do we know if someone is making it up or not when they talk about there experiences. I am not saying I am completly skeptical yet just unsure, if anyone has an experience they would like to share with relevent proof I would love to hear it.

Honestly, I think at this time the only way to make someone a believer is if they have an experience themselves. My advice? Check the internet for active spots in your area. With all the cool technology we have it is hard to tell the true from the fake. Just go investigate for yourself. But, if you find something, let us know!! thumbsup.gif

I also agree when you see a ghost or spirit you will know.

And what if this is also not true, necessarily? What if I see what you would call a "ghost", what you would say is the spirit of a discarnate entity... yet I would say its a thoughtform, or errant psi amnifestation, perhaps even an aetheric "echo". For you, the thing on the water may be the leaf, for me it may be a reflection of the clouds above.

That said, I've had a tiny handful of what I'd term "paranormal" experiences, some with a ouija board (which proves nothing except possibly minor psychic functioning on the part of the LIVING), I've gone numerous times to investigate the "Hornet spooklight" in Miami/Missouri, and while it was fun and interesting doing it and meeting different people, never saw jack. I was invited to an abandoned "haunted" hospital in central Oklahoma by a joint group of two regional ghost-investigation groups - didn't see jack.
