For some, Easter is a time to reflect on the death of Jesus Christ (Happy Deathday Jesus). For most, Easter is about something else - large quantities of chocolate grin2.gif

So have a very Happy Easter this Good Friday. With egg races, chocolate eggs, chocolate bunnies, marshmallow bunnies, and all the other goodies that one can think of.

And of course there's the day off work and school - can't forget that one no.gif

So enjoy your holiday all, and all the confectionary goodies that accompany it thumbsup.gif

Regards, PA

Actually, Paranoid, Easter is a time to reflect on the ressurection of Jesus Christ. Good Friday is a time to mourn his death. Your concept of the holiday, as a whole, could not be more wrong.

That being said, Happy Easter everyone.

Anyone know what the point of the "Easter Bunny" is?

I mean, ok, easter eggs are to represent the rock rolling away from the tomb where Jesus was burried..... chicks lay eggs, so that explains the Easter Chick

Bunnies don't lay eggs, unless you count their poopies as mini eggs? huh.gif

wacko.gif jesus didn't die on easter... he died 3 days and 3 nights before, what we now know as, the passover.

happy easter everyone.
I thought the egg represents the beginning of life, the cosmos, ressurection and such...never heard its the rock from the Jesus's tomb. blink.gif
anyway, easter bunny, i think, has nothing to do with Jesus...
maybe its just because bunnies are so fluffy and everyone likes them!
Snowbaby
Yep, That's why we are encouraged to roll our eggs before eating them, as it's to symbolise the rock rolling away from the tomb.

QUOTE
Rolling decorated Easter Eggs is seen to represent the rolling away of the rock from the tomb of Jesus.

In Australia we have Easter Bilby's. This is obviously because chocolate rabbits are not native, and are imported. Its panned to next bring in chocolate foxes, to wipe the chocolate bunnies out.
