Hi Everyone:

I saw my first ghost when I was eight years old. I woke up to noise in my kitchen, dishes being moved, cabinets doors opening and closing and got up to investigate. My whole family was asleep in their bedrooms. As I head for the kitchen I wake up my 4 year old sister on the way. She was sleeping in my living room right next to the kitchen and I ask her if she was just in the kitchen. She had not been in the kitchen.

All of a sudden I heard the refrigerator door open and close, my sister and I stopped talking and stared towards the kitchen. We then hear footsteps heading towards us. We are both paralysed as we watch this little girl shadow ghost walk across the wall in our living room, straight into the dark hallway which leads to my parent's bedroom and walk into their room even though their bedroom door was closed. The shadow ghost did not seem to know we were even there watching her.

We are then suddenly able to move again and both said at the same time, did you see that? We then start to scream for our parents whom of course did not believe us and told us to go back to bed.

So, how old were you and what was your reaction to your first ghost?

i was 16 when i had my first real expereince and i sh** my pants!!!

I was 22 the first, and so far only, time I saw what I think was a ghost. My thoughts were pretty much: "hmm, that was strange"

I was probably around 5 or 6 at the time and I remember waking up early before anyone in my house and walking out into my living room, where I saw a man giving a small child a piggyback ride. They had clothes from a different era on and I didn't recognize them as anyone I knew. As soon as they looked at me, they disappeared. I ran screaming into my parents' bedroom and hid.

I think I was around 11 years old. I was terrified!!

I was around five or six, and extremely confused.
That pretty much sums it up. o:

I'll let you know as soon as a ghost is brave enough to give me a minute of its time.

15...never seen one and never will because they don't exist!

C'mon frogfish, don't you think that's a pretty close-minded attitude for someone who visits these forums?

I was 14. Never saw a ghost, but saw some phenomenon which would was called ghostly. Like frogfish, I didn't believe in them prior to that experience. Most people who know me on this forum will know that I am a rational person, and a skeptic. I did, however, experience things which I simply could not explain without believing in ghosts.

I believe that there is the possiblity of ghosts existing and I've never had an experience with one..

unfortunately, i've never had the priveledge of an experience...
so, until then, i guess i'll just wait.

earliest i can remember is when i was 2-3, i was in my room and my toys started moving by themselves, i had a small closet across from my bed and the door opened itself and a witch came out and was laughing at me, and just so you know it wasn't just my imagination i remember my cousin used to come over and the exact same things would happen...it kept happening until we moved

and my mom(when we lived at that place) at night, she had a baby monitor(i was 1ish when this happened), and she said that she would hear me crying and she would go in my room and id be fine. she was telling me that this would happen almost every night

i don't even like talking about this stuff lol

Well, I am 17....

I think I saw what MIGHT be ghosts when I was about 13/ 14.... but they were only really dark shadows floating in the air, one taller and one shorter which to me looked like a kid and I was in my bedroom in boarding school. lol I can never be sure if I saw ghosts or not lol.

I was totally freaked out when I saw it so I just stayed very still.

Yeah I saw a shadow too when I was 15.

It was the shadow of a tall man walking slowly inside my parents' bedroom which was next to me!!!!!

The ghost was walking away from me (I could see its back) but I really was SO scared I couldn't move until my mum called me.

I turned my head 4 a second and then it was gone....................

Remembering it I am afraid to cross the door I saw it.......

(Though shadows are not ghosts it was a teriffying experience...)

Guess a lot of people have had experiences...

Round about 8 years of age and i'm still seeing them

My first experience lasted for a few months in our house, mainly at night time it got to the point where i was too scared to go to sleep and would stay up all night.

thankfully i havn't had anything major happen in a long time *touch wood*

I saw mines when i was like, 5 or 6. I didn't move cause i thought that the shadow wont notice me and go away ;p

My one and only ghost sighting was when I was 20 yrs old. I was sitting in my basement and this soccer size orb apperead out of nowhere. It was there for a few seconds before it vanished. For some reason I was not scared at all.

The again an orb is supposed to be a spirit right? I always thought there was a difference between ghosts and spirits..

So ummmm on that thought it looks as if I have yet to see a ghost.

Mine was when i was about 5 or 6, i was in my room alone at the time and i had a big box chest thing where i kept all of my toys, it was about 3 feet wide and 5 and a half feet long, and i walked up to it to get a toy and sat down in front of it. I then looked up because i heard something and i saw the ghost floating half in and half out of the wall about 5 feet up the wall. Me, being a young boy, yelled out at that time "SUPERMAN!!!!!" and then the ghost went back through the wall and i got kinda sad but it was an expirence all the same lol and i wasnt scared but i dont know why.

I think I was 6 when I first seen something "unexplained"

I ended up telling my mom who thought I was watching too much tv

oh great laugh at me why dont you lol im just kidding but i never told anyone about that it just never seemed to important, except i never saw a ghost after that even though my friend saw a lot near me when we hang out. Meh maybe i offended them all.I dont know.
