I keep getting a stupid pop-up, something about 'Winfixer' and it is really getting on my nerves! I have Googled it, but I haven't found anything to get rid of it. I have no idea how I got it, and I really do hate it!

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

If you use firefox get the extension "adblock"
When it pops up, right click on the name at the bottom of the window and click " add to whitelist" or do it manualy.

Should take care of the problem.

I once had that winfixer virus(If you can call it one). Well, how I fixed it is I found this forum, and they suggested downloading hijackthis, and you post your scan results on there and they will tell you what to do to fix it.

In my experience if you're getting alot of winfixer pop-ups you probably have malware (adware/spyware). Winfixer is a pain, definately do not take their advice and install it!

I'd Google for "adaware lavasoft download" and if that doesn't get rid of the pop-ups try "spybot search and destroy". Wouldn't hurt to double check and make sure you don't have winfixer installed in your add/remove programs in control panel.

If I were you, Id buy a program called "spy sweeper" It fixes and prevents spyware from accessing your computer. It works wonders for me.
