Is it just me or are the VAST majority of ghost sighting made at night i.e graveyards etc and spooky abandoned buildings yet again the majority of UFO/Alien encounters occur in the day?

Before i get individual examples thrown back at me I KNOW there are exceptions to the rule. I'm only asking if anyone thinks thre is a connection we havent worked out yet.

I dont think I have ever heard anything to suggest there is a conection between paranormal and nightime but its certainley how I see it. Anyone agree/disagree?

I was just thinking about that the other day while watching one of those ghost investigator or more like paranormal investigator shows on the sci-fi channel.

Every time they visit a "haunted" place it's night time, they never go during the day. Maybe if something did appear it wouldn't show up on the camera in daylight..?


As for as the ufo's, most abduction stories I've heard of have taken place at night, usually while people were sleeping.

I've actually felt things in broad daylight. A chill on your neck or a bump or someone whisper while your sitting in your chair. Its not uncommon to hear ghosts during the day, but why they prefer the dusk or night other than the day is beyond me. You can see their ecto trail better at night for sure, as they dont blend in with the light.

Lots of paranormal stuff happens at night because its more of a creepy atmosphere I guess.

This is a topic that we have had on this forum a few times, though is one of those good questions that should be brought up time and time again.

Some of us believe that certain times after dark that seems to have more activity. Now, is this really true or do we just pay more attention at night? I believe that as it gets dark, people's mood become very different. During the day when there is light, by natural instincts we use our eyes/vision to keep us aware of our surroundings. When it is dark, our eyes are insufficiant, when more rely more of our other senses asnd they increase, such as, feeling our way around, our ears became more sensitive at night.

In the dark, our mind fills in objects if we cannot make out. The dark is much more eerie so we are already expecting things to happen, and they do.

I can not say this is how it works, however, I have observed this behavior from a sports I play, Scenario 28 Hour Texas Paintball Tournaments where over a thousand players play all though out the night. Using my Gen2 Night Vision Device during my sniper missions, watch players move slower, more careful, hands out using them to prevent themselves from walking into trees and cactus plants.

Anyhow my point is we are more sensitive at night. People don't even know it sometimes, but they even depend on there voices to guide us through the dark because we can feel the vibration and being able to sense walls, hallways and things of that sort. I've even observed people brushing against a tree and then talking to the tree in the dark thinking it was his buddy, then when his buddy replied to him from another location just in front of him, it startled the guy. Last thiing I heard him say before I shot them to out, was.... "if you were in front of me, then who did I just bump into. None of them had night vision.

So with that example, there's a possibility that some one could have mistaken the identity of something.

in my opinion we see things more at night cause in the daytime we don't expect those kind of things to happen, so when they do they can freak you out more!
i have to admit though that most things that i have experienced have occured at night though!

You have an interesting point but i think there are just as many during the day as there are at night because if you think about it you only hear, mainly, about the spooky ones at night in graveyards because they are just more interesting than a person saying it happened out in broad daylight.

People who have more than one would tell the story of the one at night because they expect everyone to want to hear a spooky one and not a encounter during the day.


Its just like when people ask why is there soo much crime, well there really isnt its just that the news only talks about the crime and not the other 95% or whatever of the population that follows all of the rules.

The more I think about it I agree that it is mainly nightime that UFO's etc are seen too, so I guess what Im saying is that it is generally nightime. I certainley havnets seen anything at all in daylight but have seen questionable things at night. I think it does heighten your senses (or fear) at night

Who says that the VAST majority are seen at night or during the day or where there is a "spooky" atmosphere? UFOs are reported just about equally as far as my experience goes, by day and by night. Also ghosts or phantoms ARE seen during the day and do not require a "spooky" atmosphere at all. At night, in the darkness, it is clear that any faint light apparition would be more easily seen than during the day and, during the day, phantom images are often just accepted as being "real" and dimissed as such. The Ghosts or Spirits I know never visit graveyards unless they know I'm going and they want to go along to complain that no one ever cleans their gaves up.

I personally believe that Ghost Investigators who go to graveyards and or so called haunted buildings see Spirits because the Spirits following them and watching to see what they are going to do next likes to tag along and participate and give them a Show.

But I believe many Paranormal Investigators once they have attracted spirits could just as well stay home and hook up their cameras and things and perhaps the Ghosts would want to go on and participate in the Experiments.

You can of course announce several days in advance that you want to do this or have a Seance and the word will go out through the Spirit World and those who want to participate will show up and all you need to do is turn off the Lights and let the show begin.

As I write these instructions here there are several Spirits in the Spirit World helping me to write this so they are able to get their ideas across through me to those who are interested in Channelling for Spirit and or proving that there is Life after Death.

Many spirits want Earthlings to pay attention to them and many are only too happy to appear and speak to you so you can help to convince the World this is possible.

If you use an Oujia Board please treat it with the utmost respect and don't make fun and go into too many theatrics about dead people and things or some of them being in a creative mood could decide to put on a Horror movie and scare people and this is the kind of things that Earthlings do all the time.

Remember that many of the Spirits you contact will be people you knew like relatives or associates and or friends and their personalities in the Spirit world haven't changed much at all most of them will be just about as they were when they walked the Earth.

I have a lot of photos that show this fact. When I was little those who have passed over would come to me and tell me things to pass on to my parents. Most of these entities I never knew as they were from Norway or Germany. As I grew my mother called me"the devil's child" as she would blame me for the deaths of loved ones when I passed on messages before my parents heard they passed on. Now she believes me as my father passed on things to my mom last year, and he also told me how to show her how to know when he was visiting her so she could communicate also. He always visits us. I have also lived in haunted buildings, and being a sensitive am able to know when and what. My daughter has also picked up the gifts through my DNA. Which I believe we all have shared through the ages and all you have to do is believe in yourself and the fact that we all are born with gifts such as this and it is possible to trust yourself, never doubt what is and what isn't. Here is one example, I was taking a picture of my front porch and I saw the door swing open and I took a pic. of these 3 entities in the doorway. The shadow entity has no explaination as there is no wall to cast a shadow in that part of the room. The place was haunted, my daughter was the first to spot the shadow entity, and she was just almost 3.Children who aren't told these things are not real will see them, those who are told it's all in their heads will forget all about it. I didn't, I knew it was real. My dad gave me a photo of him in a haunted room. I will add that one also.

like im sure sum1 has said already, its becuase when its dark, your eyes can-
-easily mistake things for other things (main thing)
-make you unable to see into certain areas
-blend things together (like when you see two sheets of paper, they look like one, where in the light, you could easily tell the two sheets apart)
-lose sense of color (which also makes you blend)

LOL.... Lonecat, we're on your side bud. I think what MartyPalin meant to say was that, things do happen during the day or night. It's only that the dark heightens our senses so we notice more of what goes on around us, but sometimes trying to listen too hard in the dark and you trick yourself into hearing or seeing things.
