Hi,

In short I am getting a recuring number coming up in my life; number 13 and to a lesser extent number 7. Can any one tell me why?

I am aware of the fact that its a bad luck number and there fore I might be oversensitive about it and so on and so forth... I am not a great believed in anything at all. I am a very much down to ground guy I believe in what I see or don't see. I don't have charms I am not really religious just a straight person.

I started noticing this 5 years ago and slowly its grown in frequency... I tried to concentrate and see what other numbers would come up just so to explain away this fenomenon as a 13 centric psycological factor, but after 5 years I have to face the fact that this is not phobia or phsyco factor at work... this number keeps coming up.... number plates of cars, seets on planes.. even when I specifically requested to be seated in a seat other than 13 I end up in 13 because of someone needing my seet for their child.... there is no escape from 13! Today I opened the safe to count how many notes I had left from the stash I keep for casual spending... and yes you guessed it 13 notes. I was in a hotel for a couple of days last week while out a pleasure trip... while sitting in the pool area I counted the floors, 13 then I counted the rooms accross 13 again... come on give me a break! What is going on???
I can give you countless other sightings.... this cannot be chance... its gone well beyond that... the girlfriend that nearly killed me (emotionally) in a 5 year relationship gone wrong had 7 chars in her name and 13 in her surname she lived in the 13th district in Paris on the 7th floor...
What's cooking guys?? Why is 13 coming up in important places all the time? Am I going to nuff it soon or something?? Should I be doing something besides having my brain examined??

There seems to be a certain obsession with the number and in my opinion you are paying more attention when it turns up. Maybe you need to take a step back and consider the possibility that the number holds no significance and then see if other numbers are just as persistent. Usually because of our daily routines we get to repeat a lot and be subjected to many identical situations. Just try and put some order in your thoughts because its not worth stressing over such matters.

I don't know anything about recurring numbers and am not attempting to advise in any way. It just occurs to me that statistically there will be people who have the number 43 occur more than chance would dictate. Probability requires that some people, when getting a cup of coffee, will get the last half cup 9 times out of ten. You know, the ones who say why do I always have to make the coffee.

I must admit though, five years is a long run. Try looking for 3, that is most common to me.

Yeah 5 years is a pretty long time... maybe something is trying to tell you something, well just look on the bright side if you ever win the lottery your numbers will be 13 and you will win 13 million dollars. Be positive.

In situations like that though i just try to ignore it, like dont count the rooms and floors of a building or if a child needs your seat go further away. You control your life... but i still say try for the lottery lol

hmm, maybe try picking a few things such as plane seats etc and writing them all down EVERY time you encounter them. I just suggest this for your own personal use. I don't know much of anything about numberology.

It's the No.16 for me. My two dogs died on the 16th in separate months almost two yrs apart.

Ho Yea I like the 13 mill bit... but 31 would be a lot better... well don't get me wrong I'm not paranoied or affraid or anything of the sort... its just something I have noticed that is very strange... It could have been any other number as 13 has not significance to me although I realize its considered to be an ulucky number by some...
I think someone might have hit opn the answer when they said that statistically it has to happen to someone sooner or later... I guess if you throw a 1000 numbered pages in the air enought times and randomly gather them up eventually one of your throws/gatherings will result in a perfectly sequenced set of pages being gathered... Still its very odd over 5 years its long long time... I wonder how long it will last...

Not really stressed over it and yes I did take a step back... 5 years worth of step back and it still pops in... really it could have been any number but for me its this one... I don't belive in it being lucky or unlucky and I'm not a betting person but I can guarantee you if I ever have the oportunity to gamble and there is a 13 somewhere my money will be on it lol win or lose... Anyway its just a strange, strange curiosity... I tried looking for other numbers the only other one is 7 and this comes up roughtly about 50% less... I guess if I was going to be serious about it I should do things a bit more scientifically and write down all the other numbers that come up over the period of a year... then I will know 4 sure lol...

This cound indeed be the case... statistically over an infinite amount of time any number would have to come up on someone an unusually high number of times...
I guess when you look at it; given an infinite amount of time everything is possible... interesting thought!

Interesting 2 and 16 but would have been almost incredible if it had been 3 on the 16 each time not to mention 4... I'd leave the place at that point! Anyway its sad when one's own pets finally leave... I hope you're OK.

so basically you're an unlucky person? or are you just paranoid a lot? 13...4...2..its not an unlucky number. its the number right after 12..3..which is the beauty of all numbers... and in computer terms, 8...4..2.. is the perfect number...but 1 is really the perfect number...123! w00t. numbers are gay. peace lol.
