Malaysian wildlife officials denied capturing a baby "Bigfoot" on Thursday, amid fevered speculation over the existence of the mythical creature in the nation's southern jungles. The Berita Harian newspaper reported that a young Bigfoot was caught by a group of men thought to be from the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) near the southern town of Kota Tinggi two weeks ago.The paper quoted local residents as saying they had spoken to men who described shooting the creature with tranquilliser darts. The locals then peeked into the back of the their truck to see a large, hairy creature.But the department's director general Datuk Musa Nordin denied the report."During the period reported, Perhilitan did not mount any operation in the area," Musa said in a statement carried by the official Bernama news agency.Freddie Long, the Tourism and Environment Committee chairperson in southern Johor state, said that if a Bigfoot had been captured, it should have been given to local authorities for research.Bigfoot fever erupted last December when some workers claimed to have spotted three of the beasts, two adults and a youngster, on the edge of a Johor forest reserve.

The tale was given wide coverage in the national press, which also carried stories of other sightings, some dating back decades, and printed photographs of supposed footprints -- vague impressions in the jungle floor.Local authorities treated the claims seriously, with plans for an official expedition to track down the mysterious beasts, and setting up a telephone hotline to report sightings.Suggestions that the story has been cooked up to lure tourists to Johor have been denied.Stories of mythical ape-like creatures have been reported in wilderness areas all over the world. They are known as Bigfoot or Sasquatch in the United States and Canada, and yetis in the Himalayas.

well i would hope if they did catch a baby bigfoot that they would just tag it take some blood and hair and let it go.
Not take it to some place to study it.

It's so funny, because just the other day I saw a picture of a baby bigfoot on a milk carton. And I was all like, "wha?" Now I totally understand!

Seriously, folks, taking baby bigfoots and just keeping them is wrong. People will worry.

People do eat Monkey Brains- I saw it on a documentry where they put the monkey under a table where just its head is sticking out through the middle, the top of its skull is cut open (the monkey is still alive) and people were picking at the brains and eating them... It's apparently a delacacy <-- I can't spell!! -It's sick and it's so cruel....


AND ABOUT THIS BIGFOOT- I find it strange, that here is a place that no-one really hears of... And all of a sudden theres heaps of bigfoot sightings every week, not of 1 bigfoot but of 3.... So if these bigfoot's have lived there 'inhiding' all this time... what is driving them out into the open all of a sudden so often?....

If the story is true!
They probably have the poor thing in some lab doing god knows what to it!
I can only imagine what horror it feels and how traumatized it is to be seperated
from its own kind.

Feeling the sting of the tranquilizer, falling asleep and waking up in a cage or strapped
to a table being poked and prodded by some small monsters.

It would be nice if they would just take samples and free it but I dont think this is the case
because they could have done that on sight and guarded it til it woke.

Hunt it, trap it, kill it, dissect it ! People are so cruel.

They should try to communicate with it and study it .
I believe I read somewhere that some guy was friendly with this group of creatures.
He could help alot ......If it were true!

MONKEY BRAINS !! Yes they do eat them!
I also saw a documentary on this and it was discusting!
They put the live monkey in a hole in the middle of the table.
They close the table top around its neck holding it in place with
its head sticking out.
Each person sitting around the table it given a mallet and they take turns
bashing it in the head until its skull splits open.
They peel back the skull fragments revealing fresh warm brains.
They pick up their forks and dig in!!

I have posted this in the bigfoot thread a couple of days ago. I don't think this is true> You can imagine what the parents would do if you shot their child...

Wasn't that one of the Faces of Death movies? Most of those death scenes (even the animals) were faked.

Anyway, I highly doubt if a bigfoot were caught, the news would be made public. For some reason, I just think certain gov'ts would keep it from the general public - at least for a while, so this denial doesn't surprise me at all.

Im not sure if it was a faces of death or shocking asia who knows... its been so many years ago.

I do know that there was a live monkey and they were bashing the poor thing in the head til it split open.

It does seem that if they shot the young one that the other two would retaliate but on the other hand they do always seem to run away like a frightened deer or horse.

In the films and witness encounters they always are on the move running away.

Ive never heard of one being violent, scaring people yes but who wouldnt be!

I did see a show where one was looking in windows and walking around outside of a house frightening the people inside but Im sure if it wanted to do harm it would have had no problem busting a window or breaking down the door.

Yes, the one that I saw was The Worst Of The Worst Faces Of Death with the monkey, but that monkey was real, there was no way it was a fake.....

After hearing so much about how the Faces of Death videos were faked, I really did think that monkey brain eating segment was also faked. Sorry if I was wrong.

that why, you need to have an encounter in order to belive, it's already hard to find these creatures and then the governments are hiding it, that's why we'll nver find any sea monsters
