sometimes when a animal is blind or has cataracs it wont reflect the light and the eyes might not appear to glow in the dark.and it sounds like a skunk a big rat or some other animal . im sure thats what is was.
Philosipher
i say it was a lynx with a tumor on the back of its neck

It sounds like a Gargoyle!

I am intrigued by the camel idea, but upon further investigation, the hump configuration would be all wrong. I think it might have been a tiny brahma bull. Did it have horns? Seriously, it was probably a large wild cat (my first thought was cougar, but are they found in Mass?). The hump was probably nothing more than what others say was raised fur. Otherwise, it might have been very well-muscled shoulder blades which would protrude. If not a camel, a brahma bull, or a wildcat, then I'll go along with racoon or possum.

I think I've solved this mystery! Sound to me like it was A BAT!
Possibly a fruit bat!
STOP, THINK LISTEN.

This sound like uninformed nonsense! Is this petty fogging?
NO doubt you will CLAIM the evidence as unimportant terminological inexactitudes.

The animal described was clearly a FRUIT BAT!

I will tolerate insubordination of Science!

Ah yes, I can see where the error lies concerning the BAT-LIKE WINGS.
Look's like we're both RIGHT!

I still say this creature was nothing more than a fruit bat. What do you think it is?
A JUVENILE WEREWOLF?

Claptrap AND monkey drivile!

YES!

QUOTE(D.vandyke @ Jun 11 2006, 12:06 PM)

I'll tell you why sir! Because your raccoon hypothesis is claptrap!
Hypothesis indeed! How dare you mock science!
Yours is only a guess and not very good one at that! wacko.gif

I thought you were banned!!!!!
The Predator

A 3-foot-long fruit bat? Christ on a bike! Do you live next to Chernobyl?

rofl.gif Heee heee!! Too funny!!!

The hyena theory doesn't wash with my as they are rather bigger than 2.5 - 3ft. I go for porcupine, or raccoon. But it would be interesting if it were something we've never seen.

IBelieve, did your sister feel afraid of it? Did it seem to be communicating with her, or afraid of her or what?
The Predator
does chubaca fit in this catorgy to be the creature
The Predator

The Predator
so then what did she see

It was a Scrant. Scrants are only interested in Narfs so don't worry about your sister. That is unless your sister spends hours each day in the shower.

If it wasn't a Scrant it was an Urban Fox or Coyote. There are more of them around these days and they are quite resourceful. We have a fox which visits our grounds each night. There are red and gray foxes. It sounds like yours was a gray fox. Coyotes are a little larger than a fox but similar. If they were old animals they may have a hump like you described.
