this isnt realy my area of expertice but i do have sum ideas like anything. people believe that prophets are sent from god to spread the word. im not to sure myself, but i do think that like jesus being i commoner, not royalty or anything special, just like everybody else. i believe that everybody is a prophet with there own special message, everybody has a little or bog meaning in life, and when that meaning is complete there meaning in life is finished so they die. but in sum cases i believe that sum people have to die for there message to be given out. if you understand what i mean.

on another note - people always ask for the meaning of life - i say that every person has there own meaning, and like my other belief when they discover that meaning and carry it out they have no more job to do.
does anybody agree?

Well, in the Bible God says people have "gifts." I think maybe profits and mediums are people with these gifts. I believe everyone has a specific job to do. We can't just be here for no reason. Everything in life has a reason for being. A tree for instance, is a home for animals, it gives us oxygen, and it provides wood for shelter. So yes I agree with you. At least somebody in this forum is in the right state of mind!

IMO everyone has a direct link to whatever god you presume. the link is closer than you think. Prophets of the past have realised it, but their messages misconstrued in religion.

The meaning of life is simply to experience as much as you can. Thats what it is for me anyway

Expanding on that example then, what's to say that the purpose of the human race wasn't originally to provide food for larger predators, or to provide a control for the populations of our own prey? If other living species have a purpose, but that purpose is mundane, physical, and functional, why should our purpose be any different? If you feel that our purpose is more abstract, more spiritual, then why don't all other living beings have a higher abstract purpose?

In short, if you are going to say that we must have a purpose because everything else does, then you can't claim that our purpose is any "higher" than anything else's - either we are the same as them or we're not. If we our then our own purpose is mundane and physical, if we're not then your argument falls down.

I'm not saying I disagree with your conclusions, just your argument.

I believe prophets are very real, and sent from God. We are all prophets in the making.

I dont believe in any god either. Every living thing shares 1 goal which is survival, personally i dont think there is any meaning to life. Its just an amazing thing that happened on our tiny rock in the universe, im sure its happened lots of other places too!

The meaning of life.. IMO, is to live life to its fullest, yet integrate God before everything in life.

i absolutely agree. people subscribe good and bad values to particular elements in existence ,thereby creating meaning. i suppose if ones meaning in life never changes as one changes with existence, then yes, they would have nothing more to achieve. haha like an equation. they are only seeking one solution. the equation remains static through out thier lives. so once the solution is attained the equation is no longer relevant. im sure this applies to many people, actually. but i do not believe all people.
