So have any of you guys seen him around?

I haven't seen Lam but I know that the name is a mantra.

Under the context of this story, I don't see why anybody other than Crowley would have seen this entity, much less somebody on this forum.

By my nature, however, I believe this is just a coincidence between Crowley's drawing and recent "sightings". Perhaps the latter were even influenced by the former.

I thought maybe people who were into ufos or people who might of had some experience with them personally might recognise lam. I have known of lam before I knew of Crowley so I thought maybe others might too. I thought this might be the place to ask.

' In any event, the modern UFO era began exactly a year and a half later on June 24th, 1947, with Kenneth Arnold's sighting over the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. ' ... this was from that link I posted and I guess its considered a coincidence but who knows. What do you mean by recent sightings though?

louie
its very odd how the similarity between the pics, maybe crowley did make contact and another thread here was saying george bushs grandmother was a sexual partner of crowley an in his sect so maybe its all true an the greys have thier own people in places of power, just maybe

crowley was a very educated man in the occult. the design of his "demon" is not entirely of his creation. there are similar designs of beings that can be found in antiquity. it is likely crowley uitilized these earlier pictures for his own purposes. of course, he did alter some aspects , but the general design is the same.

and btw, crowley was a very smart man. his writings are very interesting, from a philosophical point of view. if of course, one can get around all the religious and majical mumbo jumbo he spews.

Yeah I havent read all that much Crowley but I should considering he was into lam. I dont think there is much written about lam which is why I was kinda seeing if anyone had any personal contact with him. He is not a "demon demon".. he is kinda like a scientist who studies God.. he is very Christ like with his knowledge of the silence which extends through space and connects beings. Like connecting to the internet but in the silence. I think he lives outside of time or he can manipulate it for sure and he works with the greys, mantis/ataien ones and the humaniod ones. Umm so yeah he is friendly. thumbsup.gif

Lam is like a mantra too and the picture itself is said to call him up kinda. Your suppose to sit back and stare at the picture to.. explore it.. so maybe try it before bed and see what you dream. happy.gif

If your bored sometime.

lol believe me, i dont need to stare at his picture to have lucid dreams. however, thnx for the suggestion. i do enjoy attempting to explore the silent vast darkness within my mind that connects me to all other beings.... or maybe im just trying to see with my eyelids closed lol huh.gif blush.gif it is fun none the less. wink2.gif (particularly the "electrical storms in the darkness of the closed eyelids. im guessing its just cells in the eyes randomly firing, but its still pretty, its like plasma storms in the eyes , if ya know what i mean wacko.gif thumbsup.gif )

i admit, i find crowley to be very interesting. i dont know what to make of this lam thing. i guess ill just have to wait and see what people post on it, and see where that goes.

Lam refers to a type or class of being, not a single entity.

Crowley proportedly opened (and closed) a rift during his Amalantrah Workings through which Lam could be manifested. Later desciples of Crowleys, (Jet Proulsion Laboratory Founder and Scientist Jack Parsons, and Scientology and Dianetics founder L. Ron Hubbard, working together ) reopened or enlarged the portal in 1946 in the Babylon working. They were unable (or unwilling) to close it. UFO reports commenced within a year. The portal remains open.

A similar, ancient portal is known to the Maori, though the Maori portal appears to only go the other direction. All that have attempted it have gone mad. (or they "got through", so we never heard from them again, I suppose)

It is unadvisable to attempt Lam workings, though the meditation ritual described in this forum is harmless enough. The non-initiate foolish enough to attempt a Lam working in its entirety will not be pleased with the results, especially if they actually complete the egg.

Lam is not your ( or anyone elses ) "buddy".

I wouldn't screw around with this if you don't have a lot of time to -lose-.

louie
weither he is a buddy or not. crowley drew a picture of something that would become a common thing years after he drew it, ive a feeling he was on to something.

Comon people, Crowley was a habitual drug user and also maintained a meticulous record of his drug-induced experiences with laudanum, cocaine, hashish, alcohol, ether, and heroin, much of which influenced his novel, Diary of a Drug Fiend. Allan Bennett, Crowley's mentor, was said to have given him instruction regarding the magical properties of intoxicants.

Towards the end of his life he became addicted to opium, his narcotic of choice.

The egg. Symbol of creation. Off the top of my head.. Didn't the ancient Egyptians use the egg as a symbol? usually in conjunction with a snake?

Also
allegedlyDuring the 70's John Lennon was abducted by aliens and given an egg like object. John supposedly gave this egg to Yuri Gellar, who also happens to be the main source of this story. I class Yuri’s motivations to be dubious and do not really consider him to be highly credible. The Guy's a bit of a fraudster in my book.
Although during the 70’s it could be conceivable, Lennon may have seen Yuri as an authority of unexplained mysteries.

Having said this, I still find this story compelling because I think the aliens would’ve definitely been interested in John Lennon. thumbsup.gif

I doubt it.
I think they’d be more interested in the social impact he had at the time.

Maybe they were amazed of how this little skinny guy can consume so many drugs and acid and wasn't dead(by that time) tongue.gif

How come? And what do you mean by time to lose? I might understand.. but Im just left wondering still.

With what youve typed it sounds kinda negative towards ..Lam.. So I guess I just want to know why.. and how come you think he cant be yours or anyone elses 'buddy' ? I dont think I said he was a buddy anyway...not in that way.. but I dont see him as negative either...

Anyway Im just very curious on him and the more info I can get the more I can ponder.. PM me if you like.

Daniella,

The "Egg" refers to one of the first parts tof the Lam ritual as practiced by Crowley and the "Cult of the Lam" . It is essentially the part of the ritual that was referred to above , the trance - staring into the image (but there's actually more to it)

Why did you ignore me? Yes you are suppose to kinda astral travel into the head/egg of lam etc etc and go from there but why is this not advisable to the novice? And why is lam not anyones "buddy" as you stated? I mean if you are going to say something like that you could at least back it up with why. I mean youve said not to screw around with this if you dont have much time but you havent actually said anything, you know. Like no offfence but Im just trying to understand why you think this way. Thats fair enough yeah?
WoDoByMe
ah nothing like a little ocultism. I think the best way to see 'Lam' is to enjoy a lot of drugs.

Edit: oh and putting yourself into a trance may help as well.

Who or what the hell is Lam and why is some guys drawing so special?

People draw pictures of aliens all the time.

Surely the only guranteed way to see LAM. yes.gif

Item one shoulld ensure item 2 tongue.gif

Crowley was one of the first successful predators is all. He manipulated people with less grasp of their environment and wooed them with fanciful tales.

Today he would be locked up for what made him famous in the era he polluted.

I imagine LAM would fit in nicely at the COS. Maybe Tom Cruise can name his next baby after him tongue.gif wacko.gif

Portals to LAM?? Bah humbug. Sensationalist drug induced imaginings.

And if they don't like the Beatles, they can just pack their little green bags and rack off back to Alpha Centuri. mad.gif angry.gif
