There is a Teratorn on page one of this very thread. rolleyes.gif
PickleLoaf

As a native of Central Pennsylvania, I still have a cabin in the Kettle Creek/Tamarac area and the large turkey vultures -- which look amazingly similar to your Teratorns -- are abundant. I suppose seeing one of these massive birds for the first time causes a double-take but sightings are about as common as roadkill (their favorite food).

I've read through several websites of 'thunderbird' accounts and don't put much stock in the reports. I've stumbled across one site that provided a report in the Renovo/Kettle Creek area -- practically in my backyard -- and it lost all credibility with me. It was obviously a large turkey vulture sighting that was either misidentified or the junior cryptozoologist just enjoyed telling tall tales, a common trait.

I'm not sure what you saw (or think you saw) over there in Germany and I really don't care to put too much thought into it. I can't put too much credence in the broken-english report of an imaginative teen-ager.

The only real question I have after reading through this ridiculous thread is where in the hell is St Thomas, PA?!?

Vultures are common around my place. Vulture in the sky can look HUGE. If it looks like the condor relative, you probably misjudged a vulture.

Been where longer than me?

Sorry that I'm taking your 'thunderbird' sighting with a grain of salt but I tend to ignore the ramblings of teenagers making fantastic claims, especially about a bird's body (sans wingspan) the size of a car.

I obsess over washing bird guano off my cars. I can't even begin to fathom a world where birds the size that you claim are flying around and leaving their droppings. If your alleged car-sized bird ever crapped on my Lexus...

Bwahahaha, Never considered that. Wonder if it would be considered proof of their existance LOL.

Geez, imagine a SMART car hehe, it would be buried!

Been here since 2004, sonny. Just because I'm not an attention whore and starting lame threads about big birds or whatever your 14-year-old imagination conjures up doesn't mean I'm not here. rolleyes.gif

Try thinking about quality the next time you decide to let your brain puke on your keyboard.

If you're ever in my area during the winter, I'll throw you two bucks to shovel snow from my sidewalk. It'd either be you or the nimrod 14-year-old neighbor kid. No big whoop.

In this case thats a very good idea. You're also going to need to refrain from cursing if you wish to continue to participate here, consider this a formal warning. Keep in mind that you will encounter skepticism and negative replies when detailing your experiences, if you can't handle the criticism calmly then perhaps you shouldn't address them.

I think its safe to say this thread has outlived its usefullness.
