The Lunar Nodes are the nodes of the Moon that retrograde backwards across points on the Earth. Since late December 2004 the lunar North Node has been in Aries, and the South Node in Libra. At this time, in late April, and into May & June, the nodes in the cardinal signs of Aries/Libra are at 4-degrees, and will enter into the tropical constellations Virgo and Pisces in late June.
On June 22, the Lunar North node enters Pisces (ruled by Jupiter) and the Lunar South Node enters Virgo (ruled by Mercury.) This starts a new 18-month "era" for the world as the nodes transit these mutable signs of Pisces, and Virgo until Dec. 17-18, 2007.
The effects of the Moon's nodes in Virgo-Pisces presages preparation for the coming decade of the 2010s - which reveals a series of difficulties due to the world transits of the time. One of the main problems will be economic. According to past patterns of outer planetary transits of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus, we can expect an economic downturn beginning about 2011, and lasting for about seven years to the year 2018.
Before 2011, which sees the first Jupiter-Saturn opposition since 1991, ecomonic expansion will continue, with warning signs concerning the recessionary climate of the 2010s.
During 2006 to all of 2007, Jupiter will transit the constellations Scorpio and Sagittarius before entering tropical Capricorn in December 2007. This transit of Jupiter highlights the activities related to Scorpio and Sagittarius and presages the ability to improve overall lifestyle, avoiding impulsiveness, and getting economics and finances in order.
The 18-month cycle of the Lunar Nodes in mutable quality Virgo & Pisces shows that Jupiter is favored, and activities of Mercury troublesome during the 18-month transit. The Moon's transits through Virgo reveal problems, while more positive activities and planning can take place when the Moon transits Pisces.
In Pisces, at this time, and until the year 2011, Uranus will transit. Conjunctions with the Lunar North Node, and the transits of the Moon in Pisces between late June 2006 through December 2007 allows for greater progress in matters associated with the constellation Pisces.
