This is the first time i have heard of any pyramids in Europe.

This is just amazing. Im so excited to find out what more ancient artifacts they find inside this Bosnian pyramids.

You have the pyramids in Peru - Huaca del Sol, Egypt - Cheops Pyramids, Teotihuacan - Mexico, and now you have the Bosnian Pyramids.

Do all these have links to each other?

Why did they build similiar looking pyramids?

Im sure there are other pyramids around the world just waiting to be found.

Would love to hear your comments guys/girls.

I doubt we will ever know, but While there may be some liks between lets say, mexican pyramids and peruvian pyramids, I dont believe there is any link to say, egyptian pyramids. I have no evidence or anything, it is just my opinion.

just a suggestion, why dont you make a map or something marking all the pyramids with pictures. I would surely like to see where you are coming from. original.gif

Perhaps it is truth. But what if continets moving last 10.000 year, and location of pyramides lost their firtstime conection?
Bosanchero
Mr.Osmanagic mentions this in one of his radio interviews that i posted on bosnian pyramid tread,
and i somewhat agree with his aproach to this question,
pyramids are all over the world, they were all made for something greater than us, but my question is WHICH WAS THE FIRST ONE ???
Where is it, who built it, WHy ??? i say when we find the first pyramid ever made we just might be on the verge of discovering the secrets of the pyramids original.gif

The continents have not moved any significant amount during the past 10,000 years. Continents move at a rate of about 5 centimeters per year. 50,000 centimeters comes out to 500 meters - less than 1/3 of a mile (half a kilometer). This may seem like a significant amount, but a distance that small is imperceptible when looking at a globe. Indeed, South America hasn't been connected to Africa, even tangentally, since the Jurassic.

Furthermore, South American pyramids don't look anything like Egyptian pyramids, which don't look anything like Chinese pyramids. They are also constructed differently and served different functions. Most likely the existance of pyramids across the globe owes more to the fact that a pyramid is a very simple, very efficient shape than to any global pyramid-building culture.

Thank you for those info mate. But what if happend something unusual and the distance was more than 500 meters? Perhaps even 500.000 meters???

Pyramidal shape is something what we still do not understand (my opinion) in every aspect?

Continental drift does fluctuate. The maximum rate of movement ever found was roughly 17 cm/year. At that rate, the continents could move a whopping 170,000 centimeters in 10,000 years - which comes out to only 1700 meters, or just barely over a mile (nearly 1 3/4 kilometers). That's assuming the rate of movement could be maintained at its maximum for 10,000 years. Even at that rate, the continents would not move even a fraction of the distance needed to have South American pyramid builders co-mingling with Egyptians.

Of course, one could argue that the pyramid builders originated in Africa, spread through China, and crossed the land bridge into the Americas. However, there are problems with this theory, beyond the afforementioned differences in construction and purpose. There are no known pyramids in North America; only mounds, and those are associated with the east and midwest rather than the west coast. Even if the pyramid-builders crossed through the east on their journey south, they would have to have settled in the southwest at some point.

The various pyramid building cultures began making pyramids at different times. The earliest Egyptian pyramids date to around 4600 years ago; the earliest Mesoamerican pyramids were begun only around 2900 years ago. I should also note that at the time of the earliest Egyptian pyramids the land bridge to the Americas was already submerged, and the Americas were in fact heavily populated.

In short, I do not see any connection beyond the (very) general shape of the structures, which is easily explained as the pyramid is a very stable structure and is, reletively speaking, easy to construct on a massive scale. I have seen nothing to date which implies to me that these are descendants of the same pyramid-building culture.
