Modern slang phrases - like 'Minger', 'Bovvered' and 'Chav' - are to feature on a new rival to Loveheart sweets.
Asda says its Whatevers are inspired by comedy characters from the Catherine Tate Show and Little Britain.
Lovehearts, made by Swizzels, feature innocently flirtatious phrases such as 'Love You', 'Say Yes' and 'Be Mine'.
But the new versions replace these with up-to-date street expressions such as 'In it', 'As if', 'Proper', 'Respect' and - of course - 'Whatever'.
Asda says its sweets, which will sell in stores for 24p a packet, will be more "culturally correct" than the originals.
Asda sweet buyer James Davies said: "We thought it was time to update this old favourite.
"With sayings from characters in shows such as Little Britain and the Catherine Tate Show providing us with more and more contemporary slang, we thought we needed to reflect this."
