Why dont you grow up and admit your ego is bigger than a spino and rex put together,Your still putting up a fight in anarguement which you are loseing.Just swallow your huge amount of pride and stop telling yourself that spino would win.

I agree Horner is an idiot, but these facts remain:

Recent discoveries now reveal a Spino much bigger than the largest T-Rex

Larger animal, greater weight is an advantage.

Much larger skull, bigger jaws also an advantage

Much larger forearms, much better weapons, a very great advantage.

There is evidence Spino was an agile hunter of more than just fish. Spino teeth have been found imbedded in Pterosaur and dinosaur bones.

The sail fin suggest Spino could warm up and be more agile faster than T Rex, also a great advantage.

The largest, deadliest land predator in the world today mostly eats fish, but it can kill anything else that walks on land, except maybe an adult elephant. It is the Saltwater crocodile, with a head much like spino's.

What fool would think a person with no arms, or tiny deformed arms could defeat a much bigger guy will fully developed, long arms full of sharp talons?.

Right now, the evidence gives all of the advantages to Spino,............. except for the kiddies that like T Rex best becasue he is in more cartoons.

Grow up people.

There other considerations as well. Spino's more gracile structure vs. T-Rex's robust bones and teeth work both ways. While Spino was propably faster and more agile, he is in real trouble if those bone-crushing jaws ever latch onto a limb or neck. Further T-Rex's robust skeleton suggests that he would have to be worn down by blood loss, rather than a quick snap of the jaws.

The fin on Spino raises some interesting questions. If used for thermal regulation (to soak up heat allowing him the fully active in cold water) then it presents other advantages as well. A huge active creature generates a lot of heat, and needs to get rid of it (elephants and their ears for instance). In a long fight or chase, when Rex overheated, Spino may still have his full endurance.

Well that compelling argument sure has convinced me.

i tihnk its a first strike situation who ever got the other first would probly win i mean lets be honest we talk about how robust t-rex is but do u realy think spino doesnt have some bulk to him too if spino grabed a t-rex first and ripped out a chuink of what ever its gonna bleed alot and fast this sudden loss of flesh and blood would cause it to slowly diteriorate and vise versa if t-rex grabed first it would fall down too to say spino only ate fist is obserd u compare him to a croc jaw well hes a pretty big croc in that sence and crocs go for big prey niles go for zebra wildebeast some times even other crocs in south america they eat anacondas boars small jaguars if they can they will eat anything large enough to make it worth while tht comes to the river bank now take that knowldege and look at land crocodiles we had fast agile hunters now if we compare them to crocs then this too is a fast agile land animal capable of taking down alot of stuff not only fish its a first good strike wins situation if u ask me and lets be honest all spino would have to do is run full speed over some bumpy stuff nd hope t-rex trips cause if a t-rex face plants at full speed hes pretty much done for thats a huge body with alot of weight crashing down on ribs cause his arms aint gonna stop that fall

I think since spinos teeth were so fragile,It would try to scare the t-rex away by forceing blood thrue its spine as stegs do.This would give the spino a bit of an advantage by makeing it look larger,But t-rex skulls have tooth marks of other tyrannosaurs teeth which means they faught.Alot aparently because almost evry t-rex fossil found has them,So i dont think t-rex would be afraid to fight the spino. And i think the spino might have tried to bite the rex,But its teeth would brake off in the t-rex's muscular neck. Its arms are tucked under its body so they would be useless in a fight,So people stop saying it could use its arms in a fight. They were under its body for a reason,They are well positioned very well fro scooping large fish out of the water.Correct me if im wrong,Sarchasucas lived the same time spino right? The spino must have had good sight because it would have to look all around to make sure it wasnt there,Cause the huge croc would be able to snap up a spino in a snap.So i think that the t-rex would in fact win in a fightagainst a spino.

i think t-rex would defiantly win seeing as t-rex as a 6001 psi biting force, and since spinosaurus ate fish, pterosaurs, med dinos, and dead hadrosaurs
whilst rex ate edmontosaurus tricerotops (if he didn't die in the fight first) plus rex has such a brute body compared to spino look at spinos teeth their so small theres no way he could grip a rex long enough to brake its nake, although rex's teeth 7inches long and are made for gripping and braking bones, anyways sino and rex would have never fouten their would be no reason for them to fight in the first place cause they hunt diffrent mammals/fish so they wouldn't be battling over fish cause rex would be intrested in something that would fill his huge belly, plus spino lied in the asia area whilst rex lived in north america

While the size and body shape are closer to deinonychus, they were indeed intended to be velociraptors. This is taken from the novel, which featured (correctly sized) velociraptors.

As to the question of spinosaurus's arms, I don't think they really enter into the picture much. Though they were longer than tyrannosaurus's they were not long enough to make much of a difference. Spinosaurus still couldn't scratch its chin.

As to the question of a battle at the water's edge...an interesting proposition, and more to spinosaurus's advantage. However, the problem is that crocodiles, even very large crocodiles, are only a couple of feet high. Spinosaurus was, as you pointed out, over 15 feet tall, with a prominent sail. It simply could not hide in shallow or even moderately shallow water. Thus, it could not snatch its opponent by surprise - it would still have to grapple, which again is not to its advantage.

no said spinosaurus had brains either your ideas about how spinosaurus could defeat a t-rex are ridiculus, although the water idea would be interesting since spinosaurus ONLY ATE FISH AND MEDIUM DINOSAURS and was a scavenger
t-rex on the other was an opertunist takes whatever he sees whether its his or not or if its dead it dosent matter to him
as for the fight between a t-rex and spinosaurus they wouldn't have enough brains to do anything smart they would probaly roar at eachother and eventully one would walk off
and plus there wouldn't be a reason for them to fight they hunt/eat diffrent types of food sense spinos teeth are only about 4 inches and he only has about 7 teeth on each row its believed (wikipedia this is were i got my info) he ate fish, baby pterosaurs, dead hadrosaurs, wich basiclly means savenger

please come up with a good reason for them to fight in the first place i mean their not just gonna walk up to eachother and fight, like in the abmination maovie called jp3 joe johnston can suck my c*** he basiclly went away from what steven speilberg/micheal chrition wanted the animals to behave this is a quote from steven spielberg in the "making of jurassic park" "i wanted the animals not to be portrayed as monsters like in kong or gorgo i wanted them to be realstic"

Does anyone really truely care who would win. They are both dead and gone .
