Hmm, I got to thinking, why don't we play a game where everyone gives some general info on where they're from, no street addresses or anything, but things you like and dislike about the state or country that you're from.

I'm from Oklahoma, it's sortof the buckle of the Bible Belt, which blows, but we did give the world Will Rogers.
dust19
I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio...Home of race riots galore and failing athletic teams (not that I care too much about sports). But hey, we did give the world Jerry Springer ....err wait, that's not a good thing!

I'm from Devon in England, and it seems to me, to be the place where everyone comes to retire and die or own a secound home disgust.gif which pushes up the house prices! Also because I come from Devon people always put on a ridiculous West country accent and assume I was bought up on a farm.
Devon has it's upside though ..the beautifull countryside....the long long beaches...and cream teas (yummy)
Frances Drake was born in Budleigh Salterton which is 3 miles down the road from my house.

I lived in Philly for over forty years, then I escaped thumbsup.gif
I now live in a quiet town called Little Britain right up the road from Nottingham(Are you getting the flavour of the place? original.gif ) Lets see now disgust.gif what famous people have we given to the world...ok there's Amos Stolsfus and Levi Glick, they build pole barns. Then there is old Jimmy, thats who we buy our hay from and of coarse Jesse Woods. He's a dairy farmer. We used to have a police force but about 5 years ago he asked the township for a raise so we had a meeting and fired him. Hmmmm oh yeah a guy named Robert Fulton. I'm not sure what he did but folks around here seem to make a big fuss about him rolleyes.gif

Really!? Oh how intresting! Or is there a Nottingham in America too!?

I can't wait to escape this place though. Almost 17 years living on the same street has gotten abit boring. Especially when there is only 16 houses on the street, I have been on it longer than most people here, and I am the youngest, apart from the toddlers. whistling2.gif

I'm from Yonkers, New York. Nothing much has happened here. It's just a good place to experience almost everything that there is in life as a kid growing up to experience. It's only fun as a kid, as a teen theres not much to do except go to the city with friends and hang out there.

Well, I'm from Missouri. It's not bad I live in very rural area now I used to live in the town I work in (keeping with the non-disclosure of names all I will say is the town I used to live in is the "aluminum boat capitol of the world).

I did live in a city for three months and hated every day so I came back to where I am now. The only thing I don't like about it is the messed up weather here.
