Although I have been involved with many hauntings in my time, I have never seen a ghost with my eyes before. I think that I am sensitive to spirits and ghosts, and I sense when they are near. I probably could be even more in tune with spirits if they didn't scare me so much! Even after all my experience, I am still terrified of ghosts and spirits. If anyone has any ideas how I could get over my fear would be greatly appreciated!

Spyro...you have helped me clear up some things about ghosts...the different types of ghosts.When I was in 'haunted' Gettysburg a ghost rearranged the pillows on my bed in my hotel room.The pillows were actually pulled out of the covers and placed on top on the covers quite nicely...the coverlet was tucked under the pillows.It was strange.I called the desk and they told me that there was a room on my floor that was 'haunted'.Looks like the ghost traveled.

i used to see them at my old house, they were either blue or white, and they would "fly" by the side of my house....

I have gotten orbs in photographs...green,white and orange.I've gotten red streaks in pictures, too,like something flying through the air.Has anyone seen anything like this or photographed anything like this? There are white mist-like shadows in some of the pictures,too.

I used to see a shadow the size of a person- the entire year before my grandma died. Then I saw one animal size right before my cat died but thats about it for me.

I believe you Cryptofreak! Don't let anyone let you doubt yourself! I've seen some pretty scary things and others. I've seen a cat (that looks like our pet calico Moocher- the name explains it all) and she just walks around meowing. She onced visited me! No kidding! Someone touched my toe- (I didn't leave my toe out of my blankets for a week! ^^. I was once on my sisters computer a couple of presences went past me into my sisters room. I didn't feel good about that one because I got a very creepy feeling- and somehow I knew that they were dressed in white! Don't ask me how I don't know. I'm a sensistive- basically I see hear ghosts and that sort of thing- it's not scary it's kinda neat.

Maybe you have a vortex in your house Cryptofreak I wouldn't doubt it. What is sad is that kids are very pyshic when they are born. And when little Timmy tells mum that she saw Grandad and talked to him mum just say's oh that was just your imagination! Imagination my $$$! Anyway, then their minds close to that sort of thing. I don't talk to my sister and brother about they would only scoff.

Anther thing that I saw was a jet black smudge went from the direction of my parents room to our kitchen. All I can say is thank god my sister was home at the time. I hear footsteps (heavy and some light) upstairs when I'm on my computer. Kinda freaky 'cause I know I'm the only one at home at the time. And Brinks is on! Explain that one bubba.

I don't want people to scoff or to be sceptic about my expriences I get that enough from my sister and brother. Once the spirit kitty came into the rec room and into my sis' bedroom! I knew it couldn't be Moocher because she meows when she wants up. But anway those are my comments. Have Decemeber!

I have always been sensitive, not always "Ghostwise" but also towards people. I am not psychic, but I find anywhere I go, I feel certain that something is near me. Ever since I was a little girl. At my grandmother's house (after my grandfather died) I could hear footsteps on the stairs. His chair would always move when I was around. I could always smell his cologne. Things would be moved or hidden. I look at it as never really having to be alone.

When i was 12 i lived in another house....i was in my brothers room (Bleep) whit some porno of my brothers (i have 12 at that time! ) and then i hear someone calling me in a loud way....it scared me alot...i was alone n the house....and my grandma room was next to the room i was.....

After that, i naver have another "creepy" experience...

sheesh. Whatchin porno and you hear someone calling your name? hmm . I guess it depends on what genre of porn you were veiwing.

About 5 years ago as i was walking back to my house from my families barn I saw this light out of the corner of my eye. I saw what appeared to be a blueish greenish flame in the shape of a large wolf. At first I thought it might be he hologen light reflecting of one of the neighbors dogs. But I soon realilized that was impossible. Because I could see the "wolf's" entire body; but the place where it was standing had 3ft. tall prarie grass. The wolf or whatever it was had to be floating. I ran into the house horrified, but quickly got a hold of myself and pasted a smile on my face lest my parents think me mad. But I know there was something out there. I am still extremly uneasy when the black of night comes.

When I went to the 'haunted' town of Gettysburg my husband and I stayed at a hotel that turned out to be 'haunted'.The pillows on my bed were moved and my husband found a shredded wash cloth on the sink.It appeared normal up at the top of the cloth,but filmy and tattered as it went down...down to a torn bottom, which was in shreds.It was white like the other cloths in our bathroom,but the similarity ended there.My husband said that it looked old...

This has really changed me and my husband's outlook.We were looking for something to happen and boy, it sure did.This happened while we were sleeping and,of course, the door was bolted.

Question anyone...Do ghosts make objects materialize?

I dont Particularly enjoy ghosts, and i don't look for them, but on occasions i go into my grandma's Appartment to grab some food and in the reflection on the tv, i see her sitting in her chair. And also, i see her walking in her bedroom...its spooky...

i saw another school ghost today, while we were watching "ratrace" (free day today) i was sittin in my seat about to fall asleep, and i looked over at the window, and looked down to the ground and i saw feet walking towards the back of the room, but i was to tired to look up...

i am posotive i wasnt dreaming because i saw the whole movie, and was sure of it...

Prapes there was a human striding atop those two supernatural feet you saw, and if only you had averted your eyes upwards this would have become manifest. What are your thoughts?

Either there is a lot of imagination and wishful thinking here or many of you are extremly lucky in having experienced the things you did... I, unfortunately, have never come face to face with a ghost. I do search for them however. I get a real kick out of going into old graveyards and churchs and snapping some pics of my rockin girlfriend, hoping that something shows up on the pictures. Hopefully the site owners will post my contributed pics soon. Twice out of hundreds of photos has anything wierd shown up. I hope you all have a chance to see them... and express your thoughts.

I've been doing the same thing,going to graveyards and taking pictures;I just started,so I don't have hundreds,yet.I have alot of weird things showing up;orbs,ghostly matter,something in motion....I imagine an orb in motion...ghosts....you got me!

I see and hear ghosts all the time as did my mother, I grew up with it and accepted it as part of normal, every day life. It's nothing to be afraid of, my mom always used to say it was a gift and that I should be grateful.

I used to see one particular ghost all the time. When I first moved here in Louisville me and 2 friends bought a Ouija(sp?) board and had a strange experience with it. Aside from starting off being competely drunk and then as soon as we touched it all being sober, I lost about 30 minutes of time that my friends said I was mumbling and saw a strange light over my head. What I remember was talking to someone who asked if I wanted his help. From then on out it got really weird. I always saw someone in the corner of my eye, but looked and he wasnt there. Then one night, while hanging out with some friends, I had a long conversation with someone who then turned and walked down our hall. It took a few minutes for me to realize this person shouldnt be there. I proceded to look down the hall in all the rooms, becomeing very frantic and told my friends what happened. And one of my friends heard someone talking to me, so he began to freak out and had to leave. I saw this ghost several more times over a period of 2 years but never talked to him again. And its been about 6 years now since the last time Ive seen him.

When I lived in Frankfort with my mom, I used to hear cabinet doors and drawers open and close. But never saw anything. But had a few friends stay over one night when my sister and mom were out of town, and they heard the same thing.

Being scared isnt really formost in your mind when you realize you've come face to face with paranormal activity such as a ghost or a floating teapot or even sounds you know cant be there because your all alone. Now, Ive never seen levatating kitchen utencils, but I have woken up in the middle of night with a strange feeling, and seen a figure of a little boy sitting on my window sill or standing around other places in my room or house. Only a glipse of course of each sighting. Actually I have gone to bed with a camera, since when im alone in my room at night is when they most like to appear. I took a picture of this little boy one night, and later having the film developed, saw nothing in the picture but a tiny orb of light, probably a reflection of the moon on my window right? Or is it? I have come to be more sensitive to these paranormal happenings, and even way out here where I live right now, I have seen things I cant explain. Try to take pictures all you want, you might actually catch something. Then again, you might just find that whatever it is that your pursuing, is just too fast for your camera trigger finger.

If any of you have had any interesting stories to tell, DO share. Thats the only way to tell if we´re just raving lunitics, or actually have something in common.

I ,also, have green and red streaks in the pictures...as if something is in flight.These pictures were taken at my home.

Pictures at the graveyard: I have orbs and what seems to look like a solid white orb in the shape of a child.It looks like "casper", the ghost,if you remember that cartoon character.It hovers at the grave tombstone;this is an early settlers' graveyard.

The graveyard pictures were taken with infrared film.

yesterday, i was sitting on my couch, and i was looking back down the hallway towards my bed room, and my parents bed room (across the hall from eachother)....

i saw a little boy, just like the one at my old house, come out of my room, look at me, and walk into my parents room....

i dont know if its possible, but i think this boy likes me or something, or maybe its not the same ghost as the one at my old house, but a similar one....

whatever is happening is happening less and less. i hardly ever see ghosts anymore, but one of my relatives gave me 2 disposable camera's for x-mas, and im gonna try to go to an old graveyard back where i used to live....

I have found all the posts on this thread very interesting, but one thing is missing and I think it is a quite significant 'thing' and that is a reminder that there is much interdimensional activity that people think of as 'ghostly phenomenon' and more earth-bound activities, when indeed there are many dimensions interacting with each other, including our common 3-D that need to be addressed.

Think of universal dimensions like an onion with many layers, each layer related and over the other and interacting.

With all of various dimensions overlapping is it any wonder we bump into each other occasionally and temporarily either/or merely are able to either just see each other or to upon occasion interact with each other? Science has begun to investigate the string theory and the layering of dimensions and the probability that one day our understanding of how these various dimensions interact with each other and how we will be able to travel on at least an astral/soul self way and even perhaps our 3-D bodies. Again, another thought, has anyone been involved in the 5th world discussions? This basically includes the reality that the 3-D bodies as we now experience them will be lifted onto a higher, next level which will include a higher interaction with which is now considered paranormal and also the psychic abilities that many seem to be experiences will indeed become the NORM!

My brother has brought up a new theory about ghosts, and i think it makes a lot of sense......

He said that ghosts might very well be demons trying to make people follow them, and strive to find them, instead of God. If you spend all your time, or a lot of time looking for ghosts, then Satan has succeded in getting u to worship him. demons can do some pretty freaky stuff, such as disquise themsleves as dead family members... (sound familiar?) if satan can turn into a snake, why not demons into relatives?

ANYWAY thats only a theory that my brother and i have, take from it what you will, but dont get all pissed off at me for stating a point.

I think that einsteins theory of energy makes a lot sence when it comes to ghosts.

Einstein stated that energy can neither be created or destroyed, that it just is. And if you believe that all livings things have a soul. (which most people do) than when you die that energy has to go somewhere. Now whether or not these souls know that they are dead is another discusion altogether. I believe that they want to exist in the same fashion that they did before they died. (in some instances)

Actually can I retract that last statement. I think I will. After a tremendus brain fart I have just realized that ghosts are as complicated as people. there are many different circumstances in which they exist just like humans. Whether it be because of hate or love or fear or even happieness. They are good, they are evil and they are very mysterious to boot.

And On a side note I think that the reason that some people can see ghosts while others cannot can be explained almost in the same way that people write with their right hands while others with their left. Its all about what part of the brain is being used and how it is being used. I do think that everyone has the abillity to see them but because of their convictions and what they believe in either chose not to or have shut that part of their brain off.

Of course I could be way off , but I like to think I have some sort of deductive reasoning powers and thats what i've come up with
