Is the matrix the truth? think about it. We've all seen ghosts and weird things, who's to say it isnt a program running that isnt sposed to. and all our sences are controlled by eletrical pulses, the same would happen if we were plugged into the matrix. Now days we rely on computers to survive basicly, i know that if i was a machine, i would make the world sentered around me. AND we dont know that anything 100's of years back atualy happened, its basicly myth thats taken for truth because of writings and findings. these could just be things to keep our minds from rejecting the program, the simulation of reality.

and the saying "you can do it if you belive you can", we all know it works, but have you ever sat down and considered why it works? If we were plugged into the matrix, then the infomation is sent to our minds, and for our minds to decode it. If we belive we can do somthing, and i mean out minds yo belive it, the infomation is changed due to belife, so what ever forces stopped us from doing it in the first place are bypassed.

Maybe im speaking a load of rubish, or maybe your being told i am by the program trying to keep secret, or maybe you belive it. I dont know, make up your own mind.

What about people who are 110+ years old and are witnesses of what happened 80, 90 years ago. Are they not real? ..bah, i loved the matrix movies, but i dont think its real.

Suppose we ARE living in a perfectly co-ordinated world of Matrix, where sensory feeds are fed into our brains and the like. The question, then, is does it matter? If we can't tell if what we are feeling is reality or not, then why a matrix? Couldn't we just be flees in God's pocket? Or the world created yesterday, and all our memories inserted?

yes, that can be possible, coz its a game that can controll ur brain easy, that will be made in future, there u can meet eichother coz when u do something, the data chip saves all information and sends it fast to another connected user, so he takes that info and see u doing it in the game, wont be available that char will be like u, but by designing a bit it can be possible..

Its an interesting thing to consider. If its real than we wouldn't know unless we were 'unpluged', and if it isn't then there is no harm in thinking of 'what if' that is how the greatest minds grow after all. The point? There really is no way of telling what reallity is to anyone, but yourself because you have no way of experiencing anothers life. At any rate, the animatrix was by far my favorite.

That would explain the theory of " The Men in Black". Actually I highly doubt the matrix in its movie form exists. What are you 16? Think a little harder.

Although I must say I don't totally disagree with you, there is definatly something going on in our planet, that is very disturbing. I mean Aliens, ghosts, vampires, werewolves!!! All these stories didn't come from just someone that was bored. If a "matrix" did exist I would venture to say that it is more complex than a machine using us for electrical energy, there are other energies that other beings need. If indeed there is a matrix it is entirely different than you would think.

I loved the Matrix, it was a great trilogy, battle of good versus evil, a saviour saving the day and dying for everyones "sins" It was a modern day telling of Jesus ! lol. A lot of coincidences tho, but a good trilogy nontheless.

I dont know about others but i have always felt like there was something really wrong with the world. I have always had to live my dreams and life like they were one and the same, often confusing between memories and dreams.

In this world there are many individuals who are able reconstruct the very fabric of reality to their liking, e.g. melting metal by sight, bringing rain by waves of hand or even reading each others thoughts, these people stay quite and dont reviel their special abilities to others due to the fear of becomming a society reject or ending up in mad houses.

The answere to a question like yours can only be assumed as even if i assured you that this world was real you would require a logical reasoning along with it. To many in the world my logic would be disguarded as a fantasy of the mind.

If there was a computer running this world, there wouldn't be other dimentions around us dimentions containing such beings unimagineable things you would only believe if you see them, no A.I. would build so many things which will bring doubt within a mind they want to control that it might leave the mind astray.

THis world is real and crewl but there is another world around us a world with no rules and and no boundries and when a human performs "magic" he bring the two worlds to a open ground and if you really want to experience for yourself and feel if this world is real stand along with that individual who claims can perform impossible things relax and feel what you feel around you.

All of you that are obsessed with the Matrix should take the Landmark Forum. That is where the creator of the Matrix got the ideas from. Its extremely difficult to explain, but once you take the Forum, you pretty much have taken the blue pill and are in for a ride of your life...

oh yeah - and the Landmark Forum is seen by many as a cult... which makes it even more fun to take!! haha

I could see how some one with a very imaginative mind might think that but i do not think that. Yes in theory i could see if there was a advanced race millions of years more advanced than us they could possibly invent an artifical univese. Believers would say of evidence like dejavu, you can do anything theory, and the fact that history repeats its self acts much like a computer or machine would do it would repeat things over and over. But consider the fact that if we were in an artifical universe and we were programs unaware why would we even be able to concieve the possiblity that our univese is fake because it could mean the loss of the stability of the system so we would be deleted and replaced with a more ignorate program and since that doesn't happen it must mean we are in a real universe. Just have faith in our exsistense.

It's a wonderful notion to think that perhaps we already live within a "matrix" world; but I think if there was any kinda claim to be made it would be that we are heading down the path that lead to the matrix which was the point I think the brothers were trying to make. As you said we've already begun to rely on machines to do everything for us; they do our fighting, they monitor your heart and brain activity with your in the hospital, they get us from place to place, and some even serve us drinks at hi-tech bars. Hell we even have them running around in houses and interacting with our kids to keep them occupied.

Now for arguments sake let us say that it is true, and we are living a matrix; they have all the tools to keep us in place and never reach freedom. As you said we have our myths, they could be true but try and convince millions of people that they are without seeming crazy; better yet try convincing yourself that every single legend and myth is true. With the release of the actual Matrix movie, the notion of living in such a world has become pure fantasy now. Hell the brothers who wrote the movie might have had that planned all along? or could have been trying to secretly help us out. Yes, belief does make a powerful a tool...but try and jump off and building and say..."I believe I can fly and see what happens.."(No don't cause then I'll feel bad lol) Perhaps all the UFO sightings we see are actually the monitors of us and world?

I really liked the first movie, the second was alright, and third was not what I expected. The only part I really liked in three was the ending fight scene, and AP Mechs they had when they were defending Zion. My favorite overall however was the Animatrix.

Wow that was fun...sorry anyway it's a interesting and entertaining idea to say the least; good one man.

The movie was good but the actual life interpretation is way better. if the matrix was the atstral plane then damn. Ive been jacked in for a good 10 years, and for those of you who don't know what the astral plane is lol you really shouldnt be posting threads lol.

The entire universe is a preception calculated and translated by our brain, when the electrical signal reach it from our nerves. There is a universal preception, which is like the matrix, only difference is we cannot do anything about it.

Matrix: People are programs unaware of their own existence outside of the Matrix.
Real World: People are basically unaware and many are also either completely atheistic or else highly skeptical of the existence of anything outside their own reality.

Matrix: People are fed intravenously by the dead.
Real World: Everything that people drink and eat (and are exposed to) is composed of atoms and molecules - most of which were once part of other organic beings.

Sounds pretty viable to me. I don't believe in a Matrix based upon the movie, but rather a Matrix that is so far evolved that it is organic. And that people really do exist within a very fragile bubble of reality within a harsh and cold Universe.
