I have audio OGG files that i need to encode/ covert in to MP3's perferably but Wave sound would be fine too.

A free trial download is also required cos i dont really want to buy a converter as i only have 12 tracks that need converting.

Ive found a few programs that "seem" to work and are easy to use but all end up being fairly usless and atm im useing the Huelix Audio Converter and it has been processing track 1 of 12 for about 4 hours now and im not impressed at all.

If anyone here is on Overclockers that is likey to be the best place to ask but i cannot be a user there b/c i only have g-mail and hotmail accounts.. grrrr


If ANYONE could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

mp3reduce.exe might do the trick. Not 100% sure though.

Without a doubt, THE best audio converter on the Net. Personally I tried all the others but they don't hold a candle to this. It's 100% free and will convert to and from every audio format under the sun, including FLAC, Monkey's Audio, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, and yes, MP3. Note that for MP3 converting it's best to get the Blade codec from the dbpoweramp site, rather than the Lame codec.

Also note that by default it doesn't come with OGG support (to cut down on download time) but it's very easy to install the codec for it. Go to Codec Central on the dbpoweramp Music converter site, and you can download whatever codecs you need for conversion. It's free, and very easy. If I recall correctly, the codecs self-install when downloaded.

I'm late in posting in this thread, but I do hope you see this post SkyDive. Nobody should have to live without dbpoweramp.

i could not have done it without your help, i have all 3 programs up up sleve so if i ( and my limited computer knowlage have a problem i can try nother one *teehee*)
