Ive heard of many myths, however many of them could not actually be proved. I now came across a new myth i never heard about before, its about our planet being hollow inside. I mean, i study geology, and i have to learn the layers underneath the earths crust, lik the astnosphere etc etc, and now i came across this new myth. The site is here by the way
http://www.unseen.net.tc/hollow_earth.htm. Its a really good site i really like it, its got really interesting topics.
They say that the planet has 2 openings at each pole like the figure below
[attachmentid=25512]
The www.unseen.net.tc even says that aliens UFO actually come from the opening in the north pole, were noone has actually gone there! If this is true, why should humans be searching outer space?? LOL! check it out guys and tell me what u think

during ww2 the germans looked into this but they found nothing...besides when the north pole was discoverd they found no signs of a hole i think the earth has a molten core with giant cave systems that wrap around the globe....

caves yes, completely hollow no
Urisk
May 7 2006, 11:49 AM
Thing is, wouldn't the caves just be within the first few kilometers, in the crust? Since below that is the mantle which is really just a big, spongy, semi-liquid mass? Obviously not as liquidy as the core, but quite, hmmm, what's the word...

i think befor heaven and earth were separated the world was one that vast supercontinent,pangaea,200 million years ago now through the geology of an island in the atlantic ,it was found to be the middel of that vast mts range that stretched from california to china which made up that continent, middel earth is that pillar of a mts not the middel of the earth in space, as that pillar sank, at least 4 times and prabably more and by doing so pushing the north american plate in like a counterclockwise motion opening up the atlantic ocean like a hollow eggshell the hollow earth is the caverns that exsist with in this mts and all mts of that once time.

Now I don't jump to conclusions to often, but this is plain nonsense. It sounds interesting but the very second instance I have this thought it becomes ridiculous. I also heard about nazi's being familiar with the hollow earth and UFO's originating from it, but I think it's a got out of hand prank or hallucinogen induced thought. Like a cult or Urban Legend. Think this fits in there, yes.

I beleive there are caves. i have a smal experiment to support this.
Put mud in a quite large glass, stamp it, and look for small holes within the mud.
I'm quite sure you wil find some.
I don't like to say this is conclusive, but it could be possible that there are caves.

The earth is not hollow...If it was, then 95% of the mass would be gone, the earth's orbit would be messed up, the moon would escape our gravity, all the laws of physics would not exist anymore...etc.

This has been argue here before many time's...The earth is not hollow there was a theroy once about little men who live under ground and the German's thought it may be hollow and did some studie's..But no one has ever proved this, In fact what we do have proof of is the fact it's not hollow but made up of many layer's all the way to the core...

I remember reading this in
The Unexplained as a teenager.

Interesting story, funny how it still gets bantered around. I guess wherever ignorance exists, people will be lead.
Frogfish pointed out the reasons this cannot be. No need to provide any more than that. Absolutely impossible for this theory to be real.
It would make a good movie though, could call it
Journey to the Centre of the Earth or something like that

Ok, if the Earth WERE hollow, and there was this sun inside hte earth, then even if it were the faintest , coolest Red Dwarf it would still be way too hot for life to like on the outside let alone the inside... Mind you, plants wuld have a field day wouldn't they? They mostly absord red light, am I right?
Nah... we got 2 words... TOO and HOT. Even if everything else was plausible, and indeed fact, that would surely be the undoing of it... but then I suppose someone would argue that volcanic eruptions are just solar flares coming from the inner sun... Poppycock!

The reason my post was a joke is because thats exactly what this thread is....there was a city called rainbow city, that should disprove it by itself. Maybe there are underground military bases but not 800 miles down....stupid thread.

This is a topic where, curiously, there is much underneath the surface ... a surface which admitedly seems like lunatic fringe ... and yet ... Synarchy and St. Ives de AlveydreVril: The Power of the Coming Race, by Sir Edward Bulwer-Lytton... some very very famous occultists have rattled off about the subject. Curiouser and curiouser.

top of the pillar was at least 35 km above sea level at that time before sinking and having the way this pillar was made the comming together of the tectonic plates as one this mts that was the center of the dry land on earth at the time it is that tower made by god not man as in babylon or the pyramids in egypt or any were else , it was the template of them.

^There's so much evidence against the theory and I'm yet to see any credible evidence for it at all.
If anyone does believe in the hollow Earth theory:
-How is tectonic activity explained?
-How is is the Earths magnetic field generated?
-How is the moon kept in orbit?
-How could a hollow planet even be formed?
-How are metamorphic rocks formed?
-Why does the Earth not collapse under its own weight?
-How is seismic science possible? Air is not a sufficient medium to transfer waves from Earthquakes.

IF the earth were hollow.................there would be no earthquakes or volcanoes.......It would be impossible to have these IF THE EARTH WERE HOLLOW. We would fly off our orbit into space. There would be no gravitational pull from the sun directed at earth IF the earth were hollow.
hehehehe............This is silly that someone would think the earth were hollow.

I'm open minded, but that does not mean I swallow all that is not true, and all that is;
In other words the hollow earth theory is wacko;why you ask; because scientific facts say so. Totally agree!

If anyone believes that, their head is hollow. There could be large cave systems with unknown creatures, yes. But if the earth was hollow, volcanoes couldn't exist. The magma has to well up from somewhere DEEP underground. If the world was hollow there wouldn't be room for that DEEP place.

I can tell you right now that the Earths axis is slanting at a different angle causing the natural disasters around us just this week there has been an Earthquake Tsunami terrible thunderstorm and abnormal heat across Europe.
Scientists have found that the North and southpoles sismic activity has tripled in the last 2 decades the continental plates are shifting abnormally. If the Earth were hollow there would'nt be life on the planet so unless the author is saying theres an underworld then there could be in Ancient Egypt they believed in the underworld but it was a place of rest until reincarnation/ressusrection.

I,m very open minded, but the whole hollow earth fantasy, is the most rediculous theory there is.
Whats worse is that the few people that want to believe this, actually believe the insides to be inhabited by people/beings whatever, and when folks with "un-hollow" heads asked them how they could survive, they speculate that there is a mini sun in the middle of the earth that gives them light and heat.
the insides of the earth are pretty much mapped out using sound, the hollow earth theory is good for weeding out those that believe everything and anything, and those that have the intelligence to seperate plausible from impossible.

That's exactly what they said to space travel when space ships werent around...
Im just saying, maybe the Earth IS hollow, but some strange ball of gravity(?)
deep inside is holding us in orbit... you know, or if I jump to aliens, maybe THEY are keeping this earth stable for us? Maybe this Earth is 50% Human Territory?
What im basically saying, nothing is impossible until STRONGLY proven otherwise.
