Well, my room mate in college was electrokenetic (could play around with electricity with his mind). He was wild. Any time he got angry, lightbulbs would explode around him. As he walked down streets at night the streetlights would flicker and sometimes shut off. Very strange.

I'm not sure what your precise problem is, but that was the first thing that sprang to mind. Hope you figure it out.

The exploding light bulb could just be an electricity fault, a bit like when your bulb blows when it wears out but with a bit too much power going through.

The smoke I have no idea. Maybe have a little search around try and find something. If he has an electricity box which you can use have a fiddle with that.

First thing to do is check the electrical system and look for any potential for a power surge. While one could think that in the case of a power surge the bulb should first light up before it blew, it is very possible that because of the surge, the components burn out before it gets a chance to do so and the surge is of such a proportion it bridges the gaps which remain.

Replace the components involved in turning the bulb on and off and if those parts are part of a lamp in which the bulb is in replace the components related to where it is plugged in.

As far as the smoke that does sound interesting but would advise checking any potential electrical problems before considering alternatives.....

Any thoughts?

UPDATE:

Strange things continued and has now settled down. I think all this happened due to "energy changes".

it could also be rspk or poltergeist activity.
or you have "uncontrolled" electrokinesis.
