Hey, does anyone know any places that are haunted in Australia, preferably in Victoria. I keep hearing about all these great sounding places situated in the USA but nothing here in Australia.

Also is anyone on this forum from Australia? If so, I'd like to hear from you.

Hello and good morning from Madrid,

I'm english and I write frequently to a "pen" or "e"friend in Adelaide. I found the website "Haunted Australia" and have even posted stuff there altough it's a long time since I last did so. They send me their monthly newsletter and if you can click onto this link you will get the April edition. The website is worth browsing. In fact if you go to Google and search under Australia ghosts, hauntings, paranormal and so on, you get more information about the "other side" of Australia. There is plenty of it, it seems. If this link does not work straight away then try copying and pasting it. If you get anything interesting, let me know by private mail or use my Yahoo address which is treeo66@yahoo.es . I am always interested in hearing from Australia about anything at all so feel free to write to me. Cheers an' good on yer! thumbsup.gif yes.gif LONECAT

I have found that site and I must say it is quite good however they only really have listed a few of the famous (or infamous) haunting spots rather than the obsecure ones that not many know about. I'm trying to find some new areas to explore but I'm not really sure where to start.
Thanks for your suggestion anyway Lonecat!

Hi. Im from Australia. Geelong, Victoria to be exact. I have heard of some Haunted places in Victoria. There are also some here in Geelong. One that I have experianced firsthand was a Ghost at a place called Devils Pool. Devils pool is a small body of water located under a small waterfall here in Geelong. Legend has it that a son of an early settler to the area in the 1800's fell off the cliffe and fell into devils pool. where he drowned. It is said that if u go there at night, u can hear a small child sobbing.
Unfortunately, i have heard the sobbing for myself. I went down there with a few friends at about 2 in the morining, curious about the legend. As soon as we heard the sobbing we paused to make sure of what we were hearing. After we all agreed it sounded like a child crying, we got the hell out, and in record time.
There are loads more ghost stories in the area

Hey there! Yeah, I am from Australia...In Queensland. Not many people in my area are interested in ghosts or the unexplained....So if you want to chat or something, send me a msg. Also, Monte Christo Homestead is suposedly a great haunted place in Victoria or N.S.W I think..... thumbsup.gif

Monte Christo is in Junee which is in NSW, I stayed there for 1 night about 2 years ago, I didnt go on the ghost tour cause I was working as a nanny at the time (there for the bosses birthday, I looked after the kids off course) but the guest quaters and the huanted part of the house is only seperated by a curtain, and that isnt gonna keep the ghosts from roaming!

Anyway the only experience I had was at night it felt like either someone was sitting at the end of my bed or a cat was curled up at my feet, i only had a sheet on the bed so ruled out a mass of blankets (everyone though I was brave cause I slept in a room by myself lol, one girl claimed she kept on having her feet tickled by something) I dont know what happened on the tour though

I liked it there it is worth the visit, Reg (one of the owners and the tour guide) is great! I emailed a pcitures I took to him of my room which had soemthing in it and he though it looked like a face (I already was abit skptical though cause I used my phone to take the pic and also the sun was shining through the window, I still have it thouhg and sometimes thing it could be a figure though)
