Personally my list of weirdest animals definitely would have the platypus on it. Not only is it a mammal that lays eggs, but it has spurs on it's hind feet that deliver poisonous venom which is strong enough to kill an average sized dog and has been recorded to have caused cardiac arrest, and death, in at least one person. Amazing!
there is another egg laying mamal the equidnia (yea spelt that wrong lol)

not always male ligers/tigons are strile females however tend to be fertile

Most hybrids in the animal world are sterile...Helps prevent radical microevolution.

ti-tigons and li-ligers arent ungheard of at all in fact there was a zoo with a female liger who was kept with a male lion they assumed she ws sterile tbecause she was a hybrid and they had cubs
