I was kinda surprised that this topic wasn’t around and was just wondering what people were thinking about the large scale decline in amphibian population. The simplest answer of course is an increase in bacteria in water in their natural habitat. I figured people here could come up with something more original.

And a website to reference.

An increase in bacteria in the water isn't a factor, as most declining populations aren't in contact with water a lot (Golden Toads).

In Urban areas, it is toxins.

Other species, the main cause is habitat destruction...

Somewhere in the cloud forest, I still hope there are Golden Toads.
