The Rolling Stones Let Down By Fan
Late friday night in a guarded building just outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, The Rolling Stones threw an after-show party. The guest of honor, however, didn't show up. One of their biggest fans, A web user known as Aslan had been invited to stay with The Rolling Stones after the show. "We had mailed an invitation and plane tickets to Aslan after learning from a friend of theirs how much of a fan they were." Said a spokesman for The Rolling Stones. "But after he failed to show up at the airport, numerous attempts were made at contacting Aslan as by phone, but we never got through." The Rolling Stones feels that such a missed opportunity is a sad one, especially since Aslan was such a big fan. Maybe Aslan's luck will change in the future, though. But it is highly doubtful, seeing as how this in many respects, was a once in a lifetime experience.

I'd imagine that there are literally hundreds of on-line users who use 'Aslan' as their on-line alias, after all it does come from a very well known character from the 'Chronicles of Narnia' books.

The chances of this being the Aslan we know are very remote indeed.
