It also has an old wold war two airbase nearby which houses for of the hauntings.
You cant go down a street without at least one haunted building lining it!

I did when i was a bit younger, unfortunatly lots of the properties are still tied up to the same families that have been living there for years. Its that kind of town.
When i was at school many year ago there was a section of it taht was very old, which is haunted.

There was a house (which has since been demolished) which a group of us spent the night!!! Scary, strange things happened, however whether or not is was down to group hysteria i do not know, it was demolished shortly afterwards.

Maybe i should investigate some more!

sounds good.i live in a city with about 1 million people and we average about 10-12 investigations a year.i know what you mean about families owning the property.we have had people contact us to investigate strange sightings etc.,but the other family member who owns the home did'nt want any part of it.i guess they were afraid they would be ridiculed or laughed at by family, friends or neighbors.keep us informed if you find anything.thanks.

Do what I do, and pay the family for your time. I gave a land owner $300 to let me roam his land looking for a rumored lost cemetery.

Grey wolf: what is the name of the street that you refer to?

Oxford looks pretty nice.

Sounds like an interesting town. Do you have any specific stories you can share
with us? Or is it just urban legend? Has any serious investigations ever taken place?
I would really like to know.

Thanks! thumbsup.gif

MAybe it's all just urban legend, the problem is over the years because the town is so old people always eventually start adding storys, this happens when people associate old = scary and ghostly.
I have never one any investigations, maybe i should!

I do know people that have had experiences though, for example the local airfield which was used during the second world war has some hauntings. There is a jeep with a ghost crew that is reputed to drive around during the night( i have no first hand experience of this but many people have). Also on the same airfield in one of the older buildings that used to be a barracks there is a man who hung himself and he wanders the corridors at night........i beleive many people in the offices that now occupie the buildings have felt strange things!
