ahhhhhh104
Last night was the same as every night, brush my teeth, go to bed. I went to sleep around 10 or 11. It was raining out and I was cold, but i was asleep within minutes. I awoke around 1:30 to a bright light. I was cold, but I was sweating. I looked across the room to find my stand up lamp on, but only the top bulb, which pointed up. This was the same lamp that I've tried so desperately to turn on, but it was as though the bulb was burnt out. So anyways I got up to turn the lamp off and returned back to bed. I was kind of spooked but i just didnt want to think about it. I awoke again around 2:30, cold and sweating again, only to find that my radio was on. This was strange because I never plugged the radio in since I moved it upstairs. So, I got up, turned the radio off, and then unplugged it. Now I thought somone was messing with me. I took a peek under my bed, but no one was there, peeked in my closet, no one. So I yet again returned to bed shaking softly. I stayed in bed for ten minutes before I got up and moved downstairs.

These events could have just been me sleep walking, but I doubt it. I truly believe there was somone else in that locked room with me that night. This is the first time this has happened, however, about twice a week, when i'm in bed my door starts to shake. It's not a hard shake but its clearly heard. Can somone please help me! Please tell me what this means

hmm. well all i can explain is the sweat, lol. when you sleep your heart beats much faster, and your breathing increases, wich causes you to heat up (no matter how cold it is in the room) and you sweat.

lol, that was the least of your problems, but hey

hi,
could the light you saw have been a reflection from a car headlight shining in through the window?the light in your room and the radio being on could be caused by electrical surges.you said you were cold and it was raining outside so there may have been a power failure and when the electricity comes back on it can cause surges.i went to sleep one night and woke up two hours later with the tv and vcr on.this happened twice in 3 days.i checked everything after the first time and could'nt find anything wrong with the tv or vcr.a few weeks later my wife and i were sitting at the kitchen table right after our lights went out after a storm when all of a sudden the tv and vcr came on.they had not been on when the power went off.i called our electric company and one of their techs told me that this is not uncommon.the power of the electricity coming back through the lines could trigger the switches on many types of appliances.it has happened a few times since then and always after a storm or when the main power lines are shut off for repairs.just trying to give a logical explanation.the noise from the bedroom door could be caused by several things. doe's your family play jokes on you or tease you about being scared?of the cases we have investigated similar to this in the past, this type doe'snt sound like a haunting.i could be wrong, but i think it is caused by your fear, imagination and some bad wiring.good luck and keep us informed.thanks.

p.s.-since you have lived here all your life and these things just recently happened makes it more likely that it's not paranormal.

maybe the door shaking is something like "earth tremors" or! possibly a messed up washing machine.

i dont see how if you lived there for 7 years a haunting would just start now, have you been moving things in the house around and stuff?
ahhhhhh104
well i just moved to a new room in the upstairs, the window is facing the woods, and i live in new england( no tremors) i dont think it was a power surge since the light was the only thing that turned on. The radio wasnt even plugged in.

The shaking doors happen to me(brand new house) and it's cause from another door beinng opened somewhere, it's really weird but it's just waves of air, but the radio thing is odd, was it pluged in and playing? Or maybe(as explained with furbies) there was some power left in it. Atleats the volume doesn't go from loud to quiet.

Do you always lock your door when you go to bed? Is this a thing that you do, as you mentioned you had 7 other siblings?

The only thing i can think of, is, go back to the same room and see if it happens again.
The whole being cold and sweating is a little unnerving tho.
