I think that what UFO's really could be in photograph's and some video's are abnormalities in the atmosphere caused by radio waves from a pulsar star. What do you think UFO's really are?
Roj47
Had to place a vote when they could all be responsible. You have missed the option UFO I believe?

What do I think UFOs are?

Unidentified Flying Objects.

theres a possibility that some ufo's, like the belgium triangle, are either military planes or extraterrestrial craft.
Kaknelson
I believe all UFO's are man made.

Edit: I am implying that the UFO's are not Aliens, but are of man's creation. I have seen UFO's and they are definitly man made.

However, lights shooting accross the sky and such things of this nature... must have something do with our eyes and the color spectrum, not neccissarily an Alien shooting accross the sky a lightspeed.

This has got to be one of the worse threads yet.
I voted 'hats flung in the air'
yep all UFOs are hats flung in the air. mellow.gif

UFO, Unidentified Flying Object. If it's a UFO, it's nature/origin is not known.

Hats, birds, balloons, black operations aircraft, ET space craft, tourists from the future...if it's unidentified then nobody knows!

er only if everyone agrees it's unidentified. Some might be identified.. either as black ops aircraft, balloons etc or even aliencraft IAC.

But then, at that point it would no longer be a UFO, It would be a IFO (Identified Flying Object).

Yes, IFO to a few but UFOs to the majority.

I am going to come right out and assert that some UFOs, not all, but some are in fact ET-controlled spacecrafts. Yet, another case in point where obviously, these UFOs couldn't have been hats flugged into the sky.

We all know that the 1700 or so identified Milky Way pulsars are not only causing aurorae in the night sky, but also those irritating (c'mon, show yourself, Jesus!) coherent plasmoids.
Forget the sun, because normal G stars are not great sources of radio energy. Which is why it has to be pulsars (the milli-second strobers make 'em look solid, you know).

What about hologams. Any links ?

I voted clouds. But camouflage is camouflage. If you were an alien...

It's likely, but I doubt that could be accomplished. Because, it would be hard to cast a hologram on a clear sky, as sometimes UFO's are seen.

as far as I was aware, I still have a lot to learn about everything. Including holograms, possible or not. Evr heard of underground science, or black ops, or even aliens ?

of course it could always be a picture of still water with the glow of a flahlight or other light source. I've dealed wih this stuff before. And there is always the all-popular USO (Unidentified Submerged Objects

UFO's are just that, unidentified. I believe some are natural phenomenon, some are experimental aircraft designed by humans, some experimental aircraft are reverse engineered from alien aircraft better known as recovered vehicles, and some are alien.

We do?

Since when do we know this?

What we do know is that aurorae are caused by high speed coronal mass ejections from our sun, and which interract with the earth magnetic field, following the lines of the magnetic field, where these high energy particles interact with the polar atmosphere, causing lights (generally) in the polar regions, but sometimes extending north, or south as the case may be, depending on where you are.

The idea that pulsars have any particular effect on Earth aurorae is a brand new theory to me, and pretty far out (no pun intended). The closest pulsar to the Earth is PSR-J0437-4715. At 400 ly from the earth, it has no energetic effect on this planet...that can be detected by anything but the most powerful of radiotelescopes.

To think that the ultra-dissapated energy of a star which is approximately 26 billion times farther away from us than our own sun is has some effect on our planet-- is really rather a stretch, especially considering the fact that our own sun's massive energy propels the entire ecosystem of this planet, causes our weather, burns our skin, etc, etc, from its rather piddling 93,000,000 mile distance...

MID,

No argument there! In fact, I would hope to a large extent, that I can say you are preaching to the choir.

I was being unforgivably sarcastic, and a little blasphemous (for which I appologize, too).

I accept my come-uppance when it is merited out, and will endeavor to read and learn!

Nonetheless, I hope that the insights you so kindly share will give us some intellectual appreciation. There is a silver lining, so my brother likes to say.

Again, thank you.

My choice is " Just a bird"
A mechanical round bird with interlocking magnetic mechanism powered by nuclear that recharges when traveling at light speed.
I voted just a bird.
enslavedbydragons
Yeah. Birds tend to get in the way in most pictures. That's why I wish all birds were earth bound. That way they couldn't fly in front of the camera.
DEBUNKER
UFOs are just that, Unidentified Flying Objects. All the choises of votes are good explanations to a UFO sighting.

A UFO to a kid on the ground is just a helicopter on a night flight to the pilot. And that kid runs around at school the next day screaming -I SAW AN ALIEN SPACESHIP LAST NIGHT, ITS TRUE!! OMG ARE YOU ALL CLOSED MINDED!!

I agree with DB on this,I think that there is always an explanation for an unidentified flying object.

Wishful thinking, hallucinations, hoaxes, or misidentification of mundane objects.
Man-made crafts.
Unknown natural phenomena , e.g. ball lightning, sprites. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightning#Spr...heric_lightning

The Earthlights/Tectonic Strain hypothesis. Strain in near-surface seismic faults produces electromagnetic phenomena responsible for UFO sightings.

How anyone can jump to the least probable conclusion first (ET) is beyond me.

I agree, an ET is the least likely explanation. But I would bet the bank that a small percentage are ET in origin. The universe is to vast for me to believe we're alone.

Beautiful... does this not make anyone suspicious? or skeptical?

Or is it woo woo number 40

40 When all else fails, try to redefine what "skeptical", "skeptic" and "skepticism" mean so that you become a 'real' skeptic who accepts your own nonsense at face value.

I can solve it myself ! here...a genuine flying saucer.

I love it when I hear ‘Scientists solve Ufo mystery’. When in reality all it is, is a half baked implausible debunk. Hardly even call it a theory.

The first clip isn't a genuine UFO. It's a bacteria in a microscope with the light off. I know, because I found a bacteria with the same shape, and design. I forgot which site it was on, I think it was on google...I'm not sure. But I looked and found it out just a couple minutes ago. I don't remember the site cause I accidentally turned the computer off.

Huh?! my friend was using electron microscope aimed in the sky to capture a bacteria ?

Looks close ! but venus never make your backyard like a day.
It also won't wobble and not as big as a 3 russian aircraft.
And most of all, never dive straight to your head and shot up quick.
