...maybe you need to get male friends then...

I liked FF9, vivi rocked grin2.gif , though FFVII was obviously the best story line out of the three you suggested. (although ff6 has THE best storyline, and no-one can say it isn't. if you say that, you have obvisually never played any FF below 7. (I've played 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 but didnt like the looks of 10, and im playing 11 now) )

8 ruled as well, it introduced the gun blade happy.gif

I say its in the order from: vii to ix...bieng vii the best and ix ok

I enjoyed IX the most overall. Interesting story, good battle system, just the right difficulty, and nice art design.

I found VIII the most emotionally touching, especially at the end. However, VIII lacks a major side quest and many parts feel more of a chore than a rewarding experience. Also, once you have Lion Heart and can get to The Islands Closest To Heaven and Hell, the game becomes too easy and the last bosses are a breeze.

VII is the most memorable overall. However, like VIII, in battle the characters have no real differences. Sure, they have different limit breaks, but they don't have unique skills like in IX.

well if you've only played I and II, VII VIII IX, then.... how can you say VI isn't the best strory line...

you'll find that VI is the best story line from the FF series to date. obvisually not the best graphics (its 2d) but who needs graphics when you have a storyline as good as VI.

EDIT

and yeah... I just got the joke... >.<
Talon
I loved FF7, FF8 was good, but 9 was pretty average

yeah 9 was kinda average. but vivi rocked, but it was a decent game to play. I know I enjoyed it a lot. (not as much as 7 though, the music was to good - one winged angel and chaos canyon)
Mr. Fahrenheit
FF8 is my favorite Final Fantasy, and I've played 1,2 & 4-9

Actually, I have III(VI) for the SNES, but the battery died about two months after I got it.
I have the Rom on my computer (which is legal because I own the game), but my brother is almost alway hogging it and I never have a chance to play it.

I started playing FF games with the least FF-like of the bunch, Mystic Quest.
I've played I, II, VII, VIII, IX, X, Mystic Quest, Tactics, Tactics Advance, Bahamut Lagoon, and Crystal Chronicles. I've avoided X-2 for obvious reasons, I have only a 56k modem so XI is out of the qusetion. I plan to get the Wii and DS versions of FF:CC, and I'm also interested in getting III for the DS and Dirge of Cerberus.

I've only gotten halfway through 1, because I didn't know that I had a map and got continually lost. My brother showed me where it was, made me feel stupid and I'm now playing it again.
Megalomania
6 was the last good Final Fanstasy.
Ebony
I'm the only person on the planet who likes FF and was not particularly impressed by VII.

I liked VIII due to the junction system (it was fun and different) and IX due to the storyline. I can't exactly pick one or the other because they're so different.

Perhpas IX because less of the characters annoyed me.
robbieb
no i like fianl fantasyt and didntl iek 7 either dont feel to bad
Unreality
Hmm, the best FF game is between 6 and 7. 7 has graphics, the storylines are both awesome. Hmm...I guess I like 7 better.
halo_slightly_askew
FF VII was my favorite, followed by VIII.

Was a chore for me to even finish IX.
chaoszerg
number 7 had to be my favourite. I loved the plot even tho sometimes it went a little strange at points. And i dont think the translation to english helped it lol grin2.gif

but it was and i still think it is superior to the others so far.
