What series is it in? I brought all the boxed sets recently and am now half way through season three, all the X Files are amazing

Season 7, they couldn't have brought an end to the search for his sister in a better way. It was really eerie and very sad at the end but you do get a feeling of happiness and closure. Watch it, David Duchovny's performance is absolutly amazing. His performance reminded me of Brandon Lee in the Crow...not because they acted the same, but he didn't over-act and he made it look real while at the same time making you feel what he was feeling. I think it was perfect, I can't stand this over-acting in Hollywood movies that get oscars...it makes me cringe watching them films.

I think it would have been better if he found Samantha alive somehow (I do believe that Cigarette Smoking Mans ex wife tells Mulder in Season 6 that Samantha is still alive), but due to David Duchovny wanting to leave the show...or atleast just turn into a regular guest they had to end it like this. Still I thought it was an excellent ending.

I dunno I ain't seen season 6 or 9, I don't think they were kinda hugging at the end and it was possible that they could have been together...but it was hanging.

I was just watching this one the other day! How odd.
I liked it, because it gave a good twist but didn't completely derail everything we were told for all the previous seasons. Also, I'm glad we got to know exactly what happened to her in the end, it would have been disappointing if they had left that hanging when the show ended.

A genuine Gem Episode....
MULDER: (voiceover) They said the birds refused to sing and the thermometer fell suddenly as if God Himself had His breath stolen away. No one there dared speak aloud, as much in shame as in sorrow. They uncovered the bodies one by one. The eyes of the dead were closed as if waiting for permission to open them. Were they still dreaming of ice cream and monkey bars? Of birthday cake and no future but the afternoon? Or had their innocence been taken along with their lives buried in the cold earth so long ago? These fates seemed too cruel, even for God to allow. Or are the tragic young born again when the world's not looking? I want to believe so badly; in a truth beyond our own hidden and obscured from all but the most sensitive eyes...
(The scene shifts, night falls, after the coroners and investigators have left. A LITTLE GIRL sits up and gets out of one of the graves. Her body is almost transparent and glowing, as if she is made of light. Other children like her get out of the other holes and join her. The song "My Weakness" by Moby plays in the background.)
MULDER: (voiceover) In the endless procession of souls... in what cannot and will not be destroyed. I want to believe we are unaware of God's eternal recompense and sadness. That we cannot see His truth. That that which is born still lives and cannot be buried in the cold earth. But only waits to be born again at God's behest... where in ancient starlight we lay in repose.
(The glowing children have joined hands and are standing in a circle. They look happy, gazing up to the starry sky above as they fade away and the camera drifts up towards the stars.)

Them scenes are f***ing powerful I tell you...they are perfectly done. The music perfect, the acting perfect (anyone who says David Duchovny can't act needs to see this)...the lines he said, I think they were written by Carter...they are so powerful.
