Interesting...most sites give the size of this creature at between 25-50 feet....but then...i don't really know how many (full length)sets of Carcharodontosaurus bones, they have based their original figure on. If it is 'one' set then maybe the original find, was of a young Carcharodontosaurus, and this one(at 77ft) is just an adult. But then again maybe you are right and it really is a 'freak' of nature..though still quite impressive at 77ft..I certainly don't imagine many other creatures giving it the "Come and have a go if ya think your 'ard enough" routine tongue.gif

I doubt there is any credibility to this...

I dont know I did some looking into it and I can only find information about them being closer to 44ft. I searched cnn also for any articles, but nothing except two and dont really talk about them. CNN is usually quite good reporting these types of stories.

Even searching 'Dr Chirole' yeilded nothing..so i have decided that there is absolutely no true'th whatsoever to this story..(Until otherwise informed), Thankyou.

Dammmit, Spinos are cooler.
frogfish
And larger than Carcharodontosaurus

Thinking about it some more, it is pretty clear it was just a fraud, for this supposed "Dr. Chirole" was not even aware of the new Spino that already surpassed Gigantosaurus.

I doubt we will find a "Supersize" Charcodontosaurus, because literally thousands of their teeth have been found and NONE give the impression any of the beasts were much over the 40 foot mark. That's just the way it is.

I am pretty confident Spino is going to hold this title for a good while longer.

...until we clear up Saurophaganax.

Give it up Frogfish, no one is taking that thing seriously. For heavens sake, it is just one vertebrae!!!
