I was actually interested in several discussions going on, but they got closed due to derailment before I (and others) really got a chance to have some good discussions going.
So, if anyone decides to derail a thread, do it here so the rest of us can finish our discussions.
And no, I don't expect this thread to last more than a few minutes before being closed or deleted.

Yeah, I think it's pretty bogus if the person who sabotages the thread manages to get the thread closed and just walk away. Not that I know that's how it works. Anyway, trolls get on my nerves.

You have a good point tho and I commend you for trying
Honestly tho, people will continue to derail threads and make them about themselves etc and unfortunately there isn't much we can do except report said offender to a moderator.
May suck, but it is the way it is with forums

....Must....be....quiet.....
You guys are totally correct though. Some people come in here just to start stuff for no reason just because they don't like something about you and it ends up getting topics closed.

For what has to be the umpteenth time, if you see someone derailing a thread with irrelevent or inflametory comments, use the report this post button. We can't be everywhere all the time, the report helps direct us to troublesome threads. Far too many times participating members become involved in responding in kind instead of implementing this option. Far fewer threads would get closed if we were made aware of problems before they get out of hand. It's difficult to intervene when the damage has already been done. Our effectiveness is limited by the amount of support we receive from our members. Threads don't often get closed without some sort of consequence to some members, they're just not made public.
And you're correct, this thread wouldn't really serve a productive service. Closed.
