This is an untold story, until now, and I wander if anyone has had a similiar expierience. In 1994-1995 I worked on the USNS Silas Bent and The USNS Kane, operated by Dyn Services (Mmmm) under authority of NAVO- As an AB Limited I was a helmsman, one of two on duty with the officer in charge. I was the primary crane operator and launched and retrieved all kinds of equipment, arrays, sleds, bullets, etc. which I saw briefly but never knew what their purpose was as everything was hush hush-Anyhow , the night in question was an expierince I will never forget. There was a division between the ships crew and the scientists on board, the "scientists" had 3/4 of available space on the ships and operated in labs behind locked doors. Intereaction with the crew was minimal. While underway the ship was controlled by the scientists and we ran constant hydrographic surveys (yeah,right) and the commands were placed via a squakbox located on the bridge.The night this happened was very calm, and the senior NAVO scientist came up to the bridge, very unusual. My watch partner was on the wheel and I was on port side bridge wing doing look out- all of a sudden there was a vert bright , green as in a glow stick color, coming up from the depths, I was amazed as I watched and hollered for the others on the bridge to come look. It appeared, as a circular object distorted by the relection through the glass sea, immediately the senior Scientist got on the squak box and told his colleagues,and I quote "Gentlemen, INTERESTING ( he emphasized this word heavily) natural phenomena on the port side" Natural, my ass, was my first thought, and as we watched(object appeared to be round and under our ship approx.50 feet I would guess)it suddenly, and very fast-dissappered in a dart off the port side back into the depths. I have seen pyro plankton , bio luminencence, etc, this was AN OBJECT. And we were over it-can anyone relate to a similiar exp?

Since this happened I have always wandered , and if you enter either ship's name in a google seach you will come across some very interesting information, and I can vouch for the fact that the overall mystery behind the day to day operations was very perplexing to me- but when this happened I was convinced personally that my goverment knows-much more than it is telling. I have never really spoke of this expierience until now, and I longer sail the seas, I now reside in Alaska.

Thanks for your story , I also read with great interest-the possibility that the unknown may be a lot closer to home than most of us think about when the word alien is mentioned is very intriguing, is'nt it?
