You could probably do a search online, and get more of a closer connect with people strickly from PA. There may be one or two of us here from that location, but to be honest, I don't think I even know of any of them. Everyone here, is from all over the world. Usually there are websites and groups for each state in particular.
You can also do a search on google, to come up with the most haunted sites of each individual state.

Okay. I'm from Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. When I was younger I had an paranormal experience while I was sleeping in my room. I saw an angel hover down in front of my window. When I saw this I was unable to move for a few seconds and during that time I could see myself encased in some kind of glass coffin so my body was on display. When I was able to move again the angel was gone and I ran to my mother's room to tell her about it. I remember asking out loud for some reason if I was gonna be an angel when I died while saying a prayer after having some kind of nightmare. That is the only paranormal experience I do remember. Are there any others who have experienced something they can't really explain or freaked them out in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area?

I lived in Philly most of my life, although I have never been to the Eastern State Pennitentuary...
However, I do have an experience that I have shared on a different forum, and although I could've put it up on this forum, i was afraid that users might be quick to dismiss me...but who cares, now...(i'll just copy and paste it here, sorry if its too long!)
A few years back, after school my friend and I would walk to her house together, where I would stay there until her mum came home from work, and she would drop me off in my house. So we would be the only ones in the house for about 2 hours, aside from her cat. Well, one particular day her direct tv was messed up so we didn’t bother to turn on the tv, so we were just talking about the day's events (like normal high school girls do). However in mid-conversation we stopped because we heard a noise upstairs, like someone was walking around her parent's room (which was located directly above from where we were sitting). Then we heard a door slam. We both assumed it was her cat so we started calling him downstairs. As we did so, we heard his meow, but it sounded more like a cry or whine than his normal meow. We figured that he probably was locked in the room that the door slam came from. So I volunteered to go up and let him out but as I was about to get up, I stopped and stared at the top of the stairs because I noticed something move all of a sudden. Noticing that I was staring up there, she turned her head and looked up. She just gasped. I saw what appeared to be a shadow, or silhouette if you will, of a man in a dark suit, hat, and the most hideous glowing red eyes. But before I could get up from where I was sitting, the shadow just disappeared. I have never been so scared in my life! However, my friend was calm about it, although she did seem a bit disturbed. I yelled, “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!” She answered, “Oh we always see him, but I’m surprised because we normally see him in my parents’ room…” Well I was completely freaked out, but I remembered that the cat was still in the room, so we agreed to go upstairs together (armed with metal bat, just in case). As we took our first step, the cat started hissing and whining and screaming, and then all of a sudden we heard a loud bang and then her cat just ran past us down the stairs, tripping us as we tried to turn around. I was freaking out and was about ready to just walk out the door when we saw her mum’s car parked, and she was walking to the door. We explained to her what had happened, so she decided to go investigate. We followed her and when we went into her mum’s room, it was a complete mess! The sheets and comforters were tossed aside and on the floor, glass picture frames were broken…everything was a mess except one corner of the room. The corner that was untouched was her parents “prayer corner” that had candles and other religious stuff…
After this, I preferred to just walk home…

Well I personally live in philly and have experienced some paranormal stuff at my house. My house is right next to a park where there happens to be cults doing witchcraft and other weird stuff( I recently found some type of animal skull in there) also many countless dead bodies have been found in that park.
My experience: ok when my family first moved in the house we learned the story of the previous owner that supposedly died in the basement of the house which is ironicly now where my bedroom is. Now my bedroom was built in the basement, and while they were building the room they had to knock down the drop- down ceiling and as they(parents) did all this stuff dropped down along with it. Those things included a couple of dried up still in tact dead huge rats and a cane we didn't think anything of it and through the stuff away. And let me point out that when we first bought the house there were weird symbols written on the walls in yellow that we just painted over. Anyway, As time went on we started hearing weird noises like doors slamming and foot steps. Since I slept in the basement I for some reason have heard countless time footsteps going up and down the basement steps at night and have lost many night sleeping because of somebody either whistling or whispering my name. When I told my parents of the scary things that were going on they didn't believe me until one day while I was in Maryland at a relatives house my mom called me almost crying to see if I was ok. She thought I was something bad happened to me cause she heard my bedrom door slam(which is always locked with a padlock) and what she thought was me going up the basement stairs. Now I personally think that this ghost is a woman cause she broke a picture of my mother into little peices and have been recently been harrassing my father. Now i have gotten use to the noices and incidents but I don't know what I would do If I would to one day see an actual figure (I would probably jump out the window or something)
Ayyy...yoyo, Yep ya hit the nail on the head. I'm a from West Philly and do I have stories to tell. I told the story bout the Joisey devil on another thread so I won't be goin over that one again.
Let me throw this one at you, the old Bergdile Castle (not sure of that spelling) out near Newtown Square, ever heard of it?
It was an old castle that stood off west Chester pike on the right traveling west. They tore it down over 30 years ago but when we were kids we used to go out there drink, neck and generally raise hell. We saw many a specter but it coulda been the booze.

Pious Augustus feel free to share your experiences with us do not hesitate a bit, we do not dismiss any story, nor make fun of anybody unless the following reasons:
1.You repeatedly post crappy, nonsensical stories.
2.You repeatedly make claims that you cannot substantiate.
3.You post a story and disappear, not bothering to follow-up.
4.You make fun of us.
I don’t mean you, I mean any person. So unless you do anything like that, nobody is going to dismiss your stories.
Have fun and enjoy yourself.
