Being the H.P. Lovecraft fan that I am, I have played the well known games like the "Alone in The Dark" series and the new "Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of The Earth", but does anyone know any other games based upon Lovecraftian stories and ideas?

Did you even read the topic poster's post? H. P. Lovecraft wrote horror, stuff that makes most modern horror writers seem like hacks.

I think Eternal Darkness is inspired by his works, but not really based on them. Unfortunately, the way he instills a sense of dread is hard to translate into games.

Lovecraft is a god to me....I understand your want for a good game. Ufortunately, I've never come across a Lovecraft based game thats actually worth playing except for CoC and one or two others. Most horror games out now actually reference Lovecraft stories in some way or another, in order to pay homage and not become a dream slave of Cthulhu I assume, but there are a few out there, they hardly do the man's work justice, but they are there, I found a few online once but they were kinda crappy. Pen and paper role-playing games are probably the best way to get a Lovecraftian first person experience, but even then only if you have a good game master, I've learned to satisfy myself with his writings (read them all, even the forty-page essay "Supernatural Horror in Literature") and the classic B-grade movies that come out every so often
