Just wonder what everybody's favorite game is and why?

Mine would have to be Civilization II, played it for probably 3000 hrs.( low estimate) over a course of 8 years now, I think. Will still play it even though I have Civ3. Civ II was just great. Haven't played civ 4 yet though.
Celumnaz
Civ III was great, play it twice as much as Civ IV.

Only games I've been playing lately are Rome:TW&expansion, and City of Heroes.

Well, minesweeper is still a staple, and websudoku.com...

Edit: added the word "lately"
Megalomania
Gmod, Impossible Creatures, playing CS with friends is fun.
City of Heores, Pokemon R/B/Y and TCG. As well as G/S/C.
TwilightSilver
I'm kind of at a tie for Favorite game. Both on the Xbox 360.

1) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
~Has to be one of the best games I've played. It's expansive world, 200 hours of playtime; not to mention in depth char customization and equal leveling system makes it one of the best mmorpgs i've ever had to set my eyes on. You can basically be anything you want to, and play any way you want to. Although the main storyline will take you on a fairly linear path, you can brach off at any time to one of the hundreds of side missions and take the game at your own pace. TRUE CRACK! blink.gif

2) Fight Night: Round 3
~Showcases the next-gen graphics meant for a next-gen system. It's addictive and realistic to the point that in some matches, a haymaker to the jaw makes me cringe. It's char customization is akin to Oblivion, in the way that you can almost literally make yourself. It's "No Life bar" system makes you rely on the signs of fatigue in an opponent, and makes it that much more close to a real boxing match. Button mashers need not apply; you have to use tactics to beat later opponents. Muhammad Ali is one tough son of a b****. laugh.gif

Gmod! I also love the Half Life mods Azure Sheep and Life's End. POV rules as well.
Master Sage
Civilization 3 and 4, tied.
SecondHeartbeat
i agree with twilight silver on the games, but,i also like:

Condemned:Its so creepy and theres a sh** load of weapons you can use to beat up the bad guys. The story is very linear though.
Call of Duty 2:My Fav war game, the best mission is the D-Day mission.
But out of all of the games,i'd have to say that fihgt night round 3 is the best one, just the replays when you knock the guy out make the game worth it.My record on Fight Night is 58 wins and 1 loss, all of the 58 wins were by me knocking out the guy,not the whole scene with the eyes getting to swollen,i hated that,so i tookit off

punish3ment
Rome: Total War, LOTR tactics, Half life 2, Counterstrike and Shadow of Rome are all tied
jobot37
Morrowind would probably be my favorite, followed closely by Myst III

Oh man, I played through Condemned. That was completly on par with all survival horror games. I beleive it could give the Silent Hill franchise a run for it's money. Too bad it was so short... sad.gif The level in the old mall would have to be one of my top favorites.

Oh, and A7X, did you have a problem in call of Duty 2 where the save file didn't save properly? For some reason, I have gotten several levels in, and it would reset my file back to the russian training. I finally beat it though. Both on your end are quality games that I would play again. thumbsup.gif

Sudoku Champion
My favourite is Sudoku GS. This site has an interesting twist on the 'Million Dollar Homepage' idea and provide a sudoku flash game with four levels from easy to fiendish.

The reason why I really it is because the fiendish level is really difficult and you can play an unlimited amount of games.

Ultima Nemesis
1. Halo 2 (Possibly the best multiplayer game of all time)
2. Animal Crossing (Because it lasted so long before I got bored)
3. Super Smash Bros. Melee (For it's replayability)
4. Resident Evil 3 (For Nemesis)
5. Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask (The transforming masks)
6. Metroid Prime (I just like it)
7. Soul Caliber 2 (Good fun every now and then)

It's an online RPG that lets you create your own character, world, and everything.
Basically, it's an RPG game that lets you make it, and visit other peoples worlds and stuff.

Download it here: Well of Souls

1. Halo 2 (Possibly the best multiplayer game of all time)

Oh! I knew I forgot when I posted a reply! My friends and I have Halo 2 days on Saturdays sometimes and we play for like 7 hours straight. It's a very addictive game.
StalingradK
*Not in any particular order*

Call of Duty Series (have em all) - Just a great World War II series filled with great graphics, game play, and intensive experiences. They just keep getting better and better

Starcraft - Greatest RTS ever created. When you get bored with melee, go online and play some custom user map settings.

Lord of the Rings:The Battle for Middle-Earth - I love LotR and I love how this game plays in skirmish and story mode.

Battlefield Series - From Battlefield 1942 to Battlefield 2, a great all around large scale battle multiplayer experience. Battlefield has never let me down.

Half-Life 2/Episode One - Ah, my favorite FPS of all time next to Call of Duty 2. What can I say? It's just the greatest FPS ever made.

Grand Theft Auto Series - I was young when I first played GTA2 and still found it fun. Been playing it ever since.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - The first one was a great RPG experience but the 2nd one was kind of lacking in quality.

Dead or Alive/Soul Caliber - Best fighting games ever. I was with Soul Caliber since it was called Soul Blade original.gif

Burnout 3 - I like crashing cars

Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition - I like racing cars
frogfish
The Madden series and Halo 2 yes.gif Can't wait for Halo 3!

Chrono Cross. End of story.
Argen
Star Ocean series (I've played the first jap-only one on my PC.)

Gran Turismo 4 (Recently played GT2, and was painfully reminded of how jaggedy it was.)

King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow (Adventure game by Sierra)

Colonel's Bequest (Similar to KQ, but a murder-mystery)

Final Fantasy: CC (I'm surprised how many people have already mentioned it. blink.gif )

Kirby Airride (Awsome for multiplayer, on par with SSBM)

Kingdom Hearts 2 (All good, except for Atlantica)

Castlevania Series (post-Symphony)

Metroid Prime (Beat it with 5 missiles and 1 energy tank)

Mrs. Pacman/Galaga (Arcade machine, addictive)

Clocker
Baldur's Gate 2. Played it through at least 6 times, the first time was truly an amazing experience. If you haven't played it and like RPGs, I'd suggest you try. Fallout 2 is great as well. And many others...Wing Commanders used to be that crack back in the day!
raider91
I like GTA: San andreas, Fable, Jurassic Park:operation Genesis, and many more i cant think of.
