I'm into death metal generally, and listening to it makes me feel like charging into battle /slaying a dragon or two/punching someone in the throat.
I like listening to rock and alternative when I'm driving, stuff like the Red Hot Chili Peppers ('Venice Queen' playing while I'm cruising down the highway late at night, good stuff).

interesting topic!

I wouldn't say that any type of music does anything for me I have specific songs for specific times......sort of a play list of my life....music can heal wounds or create them depending on the purpose....at least for me
Megalomania
Heavy Metal and such makes me calm down.
I don't know why.
Merle
Heavy metal, hard rock give me a good boost in the morning.
Enya - aaaaarrrggghhhh, I don't like this feeling, but she makes me feel soft and romantic.
Knopfler - usually calms me down and makes dreamy or sleepy.
80-90ties - depends - from happy to furious.
Rap, certain types of disco and pop - I'm raging. I could kill, really.
Zimmer, Williams, Shore, Goldstein - imagination is working overtime wink2.gif but good for work.

Iron Maiden pumps me up big time . makes me feel heard as an intellect. makes me feel confident ,..tingley all over too. makes me feel creative and want to pick up my guitar and learn the guitar solos. makes me driven to go behind my drumset and pound out a few like nicko mcbrain. although burrs pretty bad in fact i become more inpired by their first 4-5 albums . it made me get a tattoo of eddie on my hip. w00t.gif
it also made me a friend in eddie the head and appriciative twords the artist that created him derek riggs. thumbsup.gif
I feel expressive and happy full of energy and puts a smile on my face .I also dance and rock out like jack nicholson in the shining.lol
i have found great intelligence and wonder with alot of historical events and cultural orgins thanks to my favorite band that made british metal hisory.

need i say more? i could but it would take too long grin2.gif

Minor keys are usually used for just such an effect. For whatever reason, they instill a sense of tension, sadness, anger, or just plain negativity. Composers have been utilizing this fact for centuries. yes.gif
Roxie
Cheesy, embarrasing songs that I have to hide from my flatmate make me happy, thats sort of it really.
Synthetic
