I just thought this was pretty damn cool. The gyroscope working with for legs and counter balancing is awsome.

I found that a while back and for the first few seconds I though that it was two people together kind of like the horse costumes...it is rather odd...freaky, but cool at the same time...

Moved so realistically that I had to double check a couple of times to make sure it wasn't just two guys hunched over. Wow. The balance appears to be pretty awesome. Looks like all it needs is a navigation system...

Absolutely! I was thinking how amazing the gyroscopes were and the kind of computer required to just make it walk.
And then the guy kicked it and it managed to stay upright.
Really amazing, though it's scary-looking. I certainly wouldn't want to see that coming for me!

That's amazing...
I want one

I can hardly imagine the work it would take to make that. Even with a mechanical device capable of it, the programming would be intense. I guess they used some sort of fuzzy logic? That's very good for calculating stuff like that on the fly, from what I know.

Can you imagine that thing as big as a house, complete with all kinds of weapons? Can anyone say Terminator?

Greetings,
I read something online about this 4-6 months ago. The U.S. Army is/was field testing and calling it a "mule". Can carry up to 150 lbs of stuff (properly loaded) but needs a "driver" for the remote.

That thing scares me. I would have to say that the way it lifts it's legs makes it even creepier. If they got rid of the annoying sound it makes, you would hardly know it was coming on a dark night.

Man that thing moves awkward lol, especially when it was walking through the mud and snow.

Very cool, but creepy as well. Had to do a double take to see it wasn't two people bent over. Ugh. I would not want that thing walking up to me.

It would be really cool to have when going on long hikes. If you could somehow hook it up for solar power.
Strap on a light cover to make it look more like an animal. Probably keep the bears away.

It could be used as surveillance for the army!
