I'm not sure that much goes on at Beaulieu these days. Just the occasional bit of monkish business. There must be better places to go of a Samain; Minsden Chapel, or up the road from Beaulieu at Breamore House with its cursed painting. It'll give His Lordship the opportunity to ham it up I suppose.

I'll be in the audience of this one
To be honest I haven't heard many positive things about being an audience member, but I think I'll still enjoy just because of the atmosphere and I'll be going with friends I don't see very often.
Hope its a good one!

Well, there I sat at 9pm with my cup of coffee and a bag of Maltesers, all excited and very much in the Halloween spirit, eager to see the latest Most Haunted Live extravaganza...
...only to find the same annoying things happening on this most excellent (whooah dude) show:
1. The irritating David Bull presenting and thinking that it's HIS show, when Yvette gets consigned to the investigation inserts, which are...
2. Cut short at the most exciting moments - two crew see a movement after a noise, and Derek Acorah confirms it's an active spirit and... yes, cut to David Bull, who spouts 'we're going to go for a break now....' (aaaaarrrrrrrrgggggghhhh!!!!)
3. The sensors on the trigger objects gets set off 6 times during the first half of the show, but do they go to see or show footage? Erm, no. (They only check in a good hour afterwards.)
4. Audience members report seeing a crouched figure as two photographs are taken on film footage shown in the first 1/3 of the programme, but do they show it again so we can all see? Erm no.
Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE
this show. It's the best thing since, well, 'sliced bread', and you can't top the series programmes, but these live specials need a fair bit of tinkering...
Sincerely,
disappointed in Yorkshire.....

I agree LB but it least it was a bit of Matthew bashing last nite......ABOUT TIME!!! that guy gets up my nose more than David Bull.
And Richard kept on saying we should go have a look...
BUT to be fair at least there was a lot more going on at this one than at Woodchester which was a very disappointing one for me...

Love the series Most Haunted, usually glued to my seat during the live shows, have even been to one of Derek's live shows very recently......I consider myself very open minded, edging towards believer more than skeptic but i'm so disappointed after last nights show. I really am starting to doubt Mr Akora's abilities as a psychic. Anyone else agree?

No, to be fair, I think Derek is the only one on the live show doing anything worth watching. And he's only as good as the info the spirits give him.
I too am due to go watch a show of his in December. Looking forward to it. yayyy

I love the Most Haunted serires, but am always disapointed with the Live shows. I think one of the problems with the Live shows is they're not done by Antix productions (Karl & Yvette's company).
The so called aparition that appeared on tape, I havent seen it yet im gonna check back over my recording, but I've heard it was just one of the All Nighters

.
Derek was great, as usual

.
The next MHL is titled "Most Haunted Live: New Year" and get this -
IT WILL LAST FOR 3 DAYS!!!!!

The crew are camping out in a location in London. It will be on TV on 29th December from 9pm - 11pm, then at 11pm will be an extended episode from Series 1 (with deleted scenes). The same schedule for the 30th, a live show from 9 till 11, followed by an extended episode. Then on the 31st we have a live show from 9 until 12:30

. I can't wait!

Hate to be negative but am I the only one who finds this show so false and obviously scripted. Yvette Fielding really needs to brush up on her acting techniques. The only spirits controlling Derek Acorah come in a bottle mate!! My apologies to all you fans out there but this smacks of 'cheap, throw it together TV'.

i love the show

the lads are hilarious and i truly believe they're genuine. i have had my doudts too, watching derek as he's supposedly being possessed has made me frown in skepticism but they have been times where he's come up with things he could'nt possibly have known and i believe he is a very kind and truatworthy gentleman indeed. it is not all planned out and they're not acting, why take such a risk? you can tell how truly desperate they are to catch something on camera, they need hard evidence to prove to the world that what they're doing is worth their time and ours (the viewers) and so i wish them the best of luck!

they could surprise us all yet.
lots o' love

I'm rapidly going off Most Haunted.......... the content is being sacrificed to get higher ratings, and the Celebrity Special made me want to heave!
If the show is to continue they need to go to private houses/inns/hotels etc etc where no information is available for Derek or any other crew member to read. The should go into the area 'cold', do their base-line tests, then start the vigil. All the information about the alleged hauntings could be revealed the end of the show.........

Well said Hammy
I burst out laughing during the last MH live when Derek kept repeating that he had no idea where they were going in advance .......well excuse me but the whole flippin country knew where they were going several weeks beforehand so how did he manage not to find out ?
Having said that, I will be glued to it as usual hoping to see a ghost on telly and laughing at Yvette

But again - this time they're buggering about looking for Dick Turpin!
Dick-flamin'-Turpin!
Why is it that
every 'ghost' of a Highwayman
has to be Dick Turpin?
There's a ghost here in North Dorset that's supposedly Dick ........ but he was from Yorkshire wasn't he? Or somewhere up there?
Sheeeeesh............they really need to take stock and get back to basics....send them to some of the locations that viewers have mentioned, not famous ones like The Tower Of London.......
And yes - I'll probably tape them all !!!!!!

why not give the craters the benefit of the doubt? atleast until they are actually proven to be fake? then you can laugh in the faces of those like myself who truly hope its genuine because we desperately wish there's something beyond this life... how incrediabley miserable it would be to find your soul dies along with your withering body...so until then, dont drown our hopes in the misery that could be an most likely is the horrid reality

Hi Irish
I'm not too sure what your reply was or if it was directed at me?
If it was - then dont worry! I would never ever laugh or mock anyone for having different beliefs to my own!
I am fascinated by every aspect of the paranormal and have spent many years reading and researching and visiting people and places to find out more. The more I do - the more I believe we will soon be able to expalin 'ghosts' and 'hauntings'.
And Most Haunted?
I used to be a huge fan but, as I have said above, I think the show is now only for entertainment and not serious investigation. That's why I think the team should go to un-known locations ......
Anyhoo, have a wonderful New Year Irish

Happy New Year guys and gals!
New member here, and Im a ghost fanatic (done some of my own investigations and got some creepy stuff from them!)
Right, Most Haunted is one of the best shows on TV, the series has gone from strength to strength and I hope to god it keeps going! My only problem is the live shows:
1. Get rid of that useless sod who does the 'presenting' while poor Yvette goes running around in the background.
2. get rid of the live audience, the atmosphere is lousy and doesnt help, are they expecting the spirits to appear and do acrobatics for them or something?
3. Stop trying to be Flashy, the glitz and corny cues for Derek on the last one were embarassing and makes a mockery of the whole thing.
4. If they get 20,000 web sightings, why not follow them up and show if any were true, otherwise its wasting time!
5. Make the show later and longer, do the investigations in private like they do for the series, just live!
6. Why o why havent they done Borley Rectory for heavens sake?
7. Oh yeah, LESS commercial breaks!
sigh. Sorry about that, had to get it off my chest. God I would love to work on an investigation. I hope they follow up the Hampton Court CCTV sighting and include that in the next series!

Yvette was also a presenter of the bbc kids show Blue Peter in late eighties/early nineties. After that she moved over to ITV to present saturday morning kids show 'whats up doc?'
Sad arent I?
Still, good to see she's moved up in the world. Bless 'er!

Some interesting points made but I have to take issue with a couple
David Bull is a very able presenter. It takes real professionalism to host a live show, something that I dont feel Yvette, Karl, Phil, or any other crew member could do. They are too busy runing around and screaming at the slightest thing......and very amusing it is too!!
Borley Rectory??
It's no longer there having been demolished many years ago and built on.
The hauntings there were dubious at the very least. Perhaps the only 'genuine' ghost was that of the nun who walked down the pathway. As for disembodied hands and shrieks and groans - all wild fantasy.
Perhaps Borley Church would be a better location as many investigations have taken place there. One was featured on the BBC many years ago, and played a very sinister recording of a creepy moaning when the church was locked securely and empty ..........

i agree with alot said. im a fan of the show but there has to be some changes made when it comes to the live shows. its a real pity coz im sure they could pull it off if they truly put their minds to it
im sorry bout getting all sobby but on that particular day i was beginning to doubt all my own beliefs...but im ok now!

i know now that just because everyone has their own beliefs that are just as easy to believe, dosnt mean that i should lose my faith altogether.
i am determined to study all things paranormal, discover all the links, and in understanding these mysteries i hope to find the truth within myself.
it is ever so easy to be cynical and believe in nothing, and it is our nature as human to argue over it, to demand proof, to question others and ourselves.
it is what makes us unique, we ask for more, we are not satisfied!
so never be intimidated by a so called higher power. we are unique and have great potenial. be proud, and never satisfied.
