I was just a young boy when my grandfather died. He suffered several heart attacks, but recovered every time. When an open-heart surgery to prevent future heart attacks was proposed to him, he jumped on the idea. Being open-heart surgery, there was obviously a possibility of death, but this was his choice...preventive NOT corrective surgery, so it certainly didn't seem too great a risk. The entire time he was in the hospital I was not worried nor did I spend much (if any) time thinking about it.
I had a random dream one night...the first time I ever dreamt of my grandfather. I was at home as normal and my dad received a phone call that my grandfather (his dad) was out of the hospital and the surgery was a success. In the dream we were all so relieved, although such a phone call in real life wouldn't have made me feel any relief whatsoever. In this dream, though, I was relieved and happy and I jump over the water to the island of Newfoundland just to see him.
I woke up to my dad at my bedside crying...my grandfather passed away and he had just received the phone call.

Seems like your dream was wishful thinking, sorry about your grandfather I lost mine recently too. The jump to the other side to see him?...maybe the dream was him saying not to worry and he's in a better place...

I wouldn't call these unbelievable dreams, but I have had two dreams that I used to have when I was younger- both re-occured about 4 or 5 times.
They both involved me and my mum. In one of them I just kept running from room to room only find my mum dead in each room, in each room she was leaning over into either the bath, or the sink or a bucket and had drowned, I'd run up and pull her head out of the water then quickly run to the next room and do the same over and over again...
The other was about my mum and me in a car out in a over grown forest, and our car was being pulled into a big hole, I climbed out in time, but mum always got stuck in the car and disapeared into the hole.
I have no idea why I had these dreams and why the kept re-occuring. I don't have them any more and my mum is still healthy and alive, so I have no idea what they mean, but they did concern me at the time.

Heh heh... Despite it saying your most unbelievable dream... I think I'll put a couple... maybe three up.
The First one, my second most feared dream ever. (the first I won't put up unless asked) I was in a labyrinthian complex of some sort, nicely fashioned stonework, long tall hallways, almost royal in appearance. The place is very silent, but not completely silent, you can always hear something echoing down the hallways, from footsteps to muffled conversations. However they are too faint to tell direction or distance. However I am attempting to escape the place. I am being pursued, or perhaps pursuit isn't the right word.. I'm trying to evade these small men, about half my height, and rather round in the belly. They were called "Blaughferrs" Although it was pronounced more like "Bluffers" however I was certain they were spelled Blaughferr. Anyway, if they caught me, they'd charge into me, tear out my stomach, and I'd lay dieing as I'm eaten alive. (as a note, I am one of those people who almost always feels pain in my dreams, and in this case, it hurt like hell)
However, the dream changed every single tiem I dreampt it. (which must number in teh hundreds) occasionally their would be others trying to escape, or I'm with a party of escapees. The most reoccuring character other than I was a dark-haired young girl named Kayla, who was somehow important. (Royalty or something) The only person to ever escape ever, was her. A single time in the dream, i aided her escape and she got away, however in doing so I was forced to martyr myself.
Strange no? Well the second was about me shapeshifting into a "wererat" Which for some unknown reason looked nothing like a rat. But I faught against the forces of... umm.. well I think evil is too harsh a term... but the abnormal thing about the dream, is it had two sequels. Each on a full moon, as was the first. (I only knew at the tiem of going to sleep that it was a full moon the second time around) I'd go into details, but if I did, I'd spend the rest of my life typing this.

When I was younger I've had almost that same exact dream few times, except I thought of them as gremlins and they were about a quarter of my hight. Looks like I will be the one to ask about your first feared then

Damn right! Let's hear that dream/nightmare you speak of! In the meantime I'll post another troubling dream I've had...I only had it once and I'll never forget it.
The dream took place in a city in USA/Canada but I have no idea which city...it was New Year's Eve. There was going to be a large fireworks show for the changeover into the new year, and I went to an extremely high up bridge (which was totally desserted) by myself to watch the fireworks.
The countdown began, there was a massive screen counting down from 10 to 1, and the second the screen reached zero, we were attacked (well I was out of harm's way). Lots of missiles, lots of futuristic military machines (most of which I doubt currently exist). We were totally levelled.
The dream continued, as myself and the other rare survivors walked around the city in complete ruins. The latest newspapers had a picture of an Asian man which they claimed would be a likely terrorist threat in the upcoming year. I came to find out it wasn't the Chinese but another Asian country along with Mexico that attacked. They flattened the entire USA and Canada.

, I need something cleared up here. Am I really really paranoid, or might there actualy be something to it?
I tend to be paranoid about stuff. Anyways, lately I've been talking to a friend about 'night attackers' as he calls them. He's haunted, and he's haunted by inhuman beings. They aren't ghosts, but he thinks that they are beings trying to create fear in oneself.
Anyways, since then I've been more paranoid than usual. Just today when i was taking a nap, i had this horrible horrible dream. It felt so real. And I was in a perfect mood when i took that nap. But the dream was just freaky and horrofic.
I was dreaming normal stuff, untill it became all weird. I dreamt that i turned on my computer, went on the internet and my homepage suddenly turned into a page with a picture of some distorted beings, looking a bit like humans, but with dirtorted face, and like... not humans at all.. It had a text Im not sure what it said. It was something like; If you have this page as your homepage you will die. It was something like that.
Then I went back to dreaming that i was doing normal stuff, like what I'd do on a normal day. But the people around me, they were all apooky. I looked away and when looking back at them, their faces had turned all demonic... Black eyes, blood around the eyes.... Nomatter what I did they'd follow me, trying to talk to me. There was this girl looking at me, and then she suddenly peeled of her face. Then she held it towards me and she told me something. mI don't know what but in the dream i seemed to understand.
The weird thing was that i was in a really deep sleep, yet i was halfawake. I don't know how to put it. It didn't take long for me to realize it was a dream, even though it felt so real. I tried to wake up, but I couldn't. Well I did, for like as econd then I'd fall asleep again, like i was being pulled back into the dream. I kept on doing this a couple of times, untill four hours later, I finally managed to wake up, though it took a hell lot of effort. I was unusually sleepy, and even when i had waken up i wasn't sure if I was still in the dream. Well, Shortly thereafter I talked to my friend about it. He think I might be marked too now... Also he told me they most likely would attack when i was half awake, because they use you unconsciousness to reach you consciousness... or something like that.
It really was horrofic for me, and I usually dont have Nightmares. The last was years ago, and I'm not stressed or anything. Plus i had been in a perfect mood when i when to sleep. I don't know if the possibilty of my friend 'infecting' me is there... But maybe he did...
Im just really freaked out now. What's your thought? Am I just really paranoid, or might there be something?

If your energy is weak other energies will enter and that's what happens. It's why kids have nightmares like crazy, but a grown hardworking man has none. I had night terrors (as I call them) when things weren't going so well for me, and I was paranoid about things. Now I haven't had a nightmare in years.

Omg just a couple of nights ago, I dreamed that I was sitting in the front of a car(a van) with my grandmother driving, and we had a 3-4 year old in the back(at the beginning it looked like my 4 year old brother, but then he didn't look like him anymore). Then, its like the baby got possesed by the devil! He jumped to the front and I was trying to hold him down(so my grandma wouldn't crash the car) while he would talk in latin and in other languages(yep, exactly like the movie) and then I started reciting the our father(yep, like in the movies too) and then he started freaking out and I don't remember what my grandmother said after that, I think I got scared and stopped reciting the pray and started singing in latin and then he started mocking me and singing with me and then that's when I woke up.
I told my friend about it yesterday and she said the dream means that I'm PREGNANT HAHAHAAH that was the weirdest conclusion ever, I was like "wtf???" LOL

i have always had a recurring dream, as i'm falling asleep i can sense the room around me getting bigger, then i'm in open space. i seem to be a ball, best way i can describe is plasticine or modelling clay, and i'm motionless in a huge white expanse. in the distance i see a tiny dot, it grows, then i realise it's another ball, but black and is moving towards me perfectly. everything in the dream seems so perfect, still and silent. then i see on either side are thousands, millions, ???, of other balls all seem to be clashing, yet always leaving a perfectly clear site of this approaching ball. It becomes clear and is jet black.
It scares me and i usually wake up very startled. One time when i was 15 i remember i noticed a hole in the floor just before i woke, inbetween me and the other object. looked like a kind of vortex.
It still scares me now and i'm 34!
Been having it since i was about 11 or so.
any ideas?

Every now and again i have dream that i am in a strange place with a tribe of people. i cannot understand there language but they seem to know me. I feel as if i know them but then the village is invaded by a army dressed in Blood red armour i dont know who they are but they send chills down my spine there is something about them that does not seem natural. The sky changes into a storm but the clouds swirl like a whirl pool everyone is being slaughtered and i try and fight back but i noticed on my sword that it has a medusa's head engraved on it. Im trying to figure out why all my dreams have something to do with medusa in them. It because of these dreams that medusa is my favourite mythical creature

Ummm, welll, the topic seems to have shifted from feel- good dreams to nightmares. Want to hear one of both?
The feel good dreams are ones that I like to think of as spiritual dreams from my grandparents. My grandmother passed away last year, and a few times since then I have had amazingly vivid and emotional as well as lucid dreams about her. In these "dreams", she tells me that she's happy, and that she hears me when I think about wanting to see her again. When I really miss her, that's when she shows up in a dream, and I always become lucid. I got to hug her in my last dream and ever since then I have felt a warmth and satisfaction as if I truly saw her again in the flesh.
I've had some pretty horrifying dreams about ghostly men and women lurking over my bed and trying to touch me in my bed. I'm not a christian, but I do have a christian background, and for some reason these dreams are often lucid as well and I start yelling out "Jesus Christ" to them, and they stay away. They are truly frightening. I lucid dream often and can usually have some control over the direction of the dream, but in these I am tortured with being lucid but have no control over what happens.

When I was younger I used to have a dream I was at a carnival with my mother (which is weird.. We don't have carnivals here). We would be just walking around the various tents (similar to some-sort of gypsy camp) and then my mother would walk off. Minutes later I would hear my mother screaming as she was being chased by a vampire. The vampire then got her..
Not long later my mother left my Dad.

When I was about ten(i'm 21 now) I had a dream with Freddy Krewger from nightmare on elms street but the strange thing about the dream was I had never seen the movie but maybe seen a picture or something of him, I can't remember what the dream was about except him being in it just remember waking up on my mom's bed just terrified and sweating. I saw the movie a couple of years later and seen how he kills people in their dreams and was freaked out even more. That memory has always stuck with me, don't know how he got in that dream without me really knowing who he was, and I know he isn't real but still a freaky dream.

Err... sorry about the delay in posting the first scariest dream.
Alright, as the dream begins, I am staring up into white, like a light, a very bright light, but soft, and not blinding. Everything is completely silent. No sound from anything, however It isn't silent, it feels oppresively loud. Like there is no noise, but its just, so noisy, and i can hear it being noisy, but there is no noise. Err.. if you get what I'm trying to say.
Suddenly as I lay down, I hear a voice, a soft femminine voice. Saying "...Help me..." over and over again, I can't hear a direction, and I can't really hear it. Its deffinatly there, but it isn't. I stand up, and look at my surroundings, I am on some kind of colliseum. Like a cross between the Colliseum in rome, and a football field. The stands are easily traversable, however the center, is sunken. THe field is at least 400 feet below the edge of the stands. The field is also perfectly green grass, lovely grass. The stands are made out of what looks like extremely white marble, newly cut, but soft and polished. The colliseum must be a mile from one end to the other.
So I attempt to find the voice, and as I walk, I feel images in my head, of the eyes of an extremely tormented girl, tears flowign down her cheeks.
eventually I arrive at the edge of the colliseum, as I look over, its like the sky, flat, soft white light. There is nothing beyond the colliseum, but white light, nothing below, nothing around. Frustrated I turn away from the edge, as I do, I see a man, vaguely dressed like Barney Rubble from Flintstones, like an amusement park outfit kind of dress. I see him, I see his face through the costume, and I see a face of horror, before the vestige of this man simply dissapears. This entire time, the begging help only seems to get louder, however I still "hear" nothing. But I deffinatly hear it. Usually the dream lasts for what feels like months, of me wandering this colliseum, no way to go anywhere new. Always with the voice in my head, and occasional visions of some strange tortured soul.
Well thats it, scared the hell out of me. Generally after having it, I'd be phased for weeks on end. I've had the dream at least 30 times... from when I was 4, to when I was 13. Haven't had it since... which is probably good. *twitches*

I cannot recal on any EXTREMELY scary dreams at the moment, but I do know one thing; whenever I have a nightmare and getting chased by a killer or monster etc., and I am running away from it, there is sometimes this annoying wind that holds me back from running full speed... But does not effect the monster/killer.
Ahh yes, I just remembered a dream that was not very pleasent at ALL.
I was in my old house, which wasn't the biggest house around, anyways I look up my stairwell and I see a round shadow run by, ( I cannot see further than the stairwell end, as it is pitch black after ) As I go further to investigate, suddenly, this long "arm" of the sorts grabs me by my head and tries to drag me up! I look back as I am grabbing my railings and see all my family members. I yell for help but they all just stare, suddenly blood pours out of their eyes and I hear the "Thing" chanting, it gets a burst of strenght and pulls me up with great might, I am now in the pitch black room ( Master bedroom ) which I was seemed to be dragged into.
I am laying there with whispers all around me, then this red light turns on and starts flashing on and off, I see creatures jump all over me and start to hold me down, as I attempt to fight them off, finally I am overwhelmed, and the "Leader" of these things comes to supposedly devour me while they hold me down, I see him open his mouth full of rasor sharp teeth and sinks them into my throat, I try to yell but I could almost feel blood filling up my mouth, when he let go I am laying there in darkness once again, LITERALLY gasping for air, I see a light a few feet away, Its the doorway! theres a figure standing there, it says "Game Over" and closes the door. ( JUST like Saw the movie )
Just then I woke up, and felt a strange itching sensation on my neck, when I went to the bathroom I saw a red mark on my throat, a little to the left of where I was "Bit" in my dream, this red spot was about 2 and a half inches height and lenght, and directly to the right of the red spot are four "stick" shaped red lines, they seem to resemble fingers.
Thats it! Thats my story, as for the red marks I believe it was me who grabbed MYSELF, trying to stop the monster in my dream...

My most unbelievable dream is hard to choose from. Ive had lots of cool ones, most of the best ones were when I was fully lucid but its hard to pick the best one.
One of my nicest dreams was of surfing the light ocean in the sky in the sunset and then freefalling down about 10,000 feet down to the planet and then shooting back up again like superman to surf again before the freefall down again. I only did it a couple of times but it was a really cool dream. All of my shape shifting dreams are fun too.. they are really trippy because I really feel like the animal that I am at the time(animal minded)and its like I can remember what it was like afterwards. So anotherwords I know that a shark is fast and has a big mouth which gets food stuck in it..lol, while the crocodile is slower and lower and just has a different feel about it, while the wolf seems more aggressive than the lion etc. So yeah shapeshifting dreams are some of my most trippy and most fun.
One of my scariest was one that I created because I was fully lucid and there were some bad guys around my house trying to get in. lol! So I shifted into the Vampire for the first time and the first guy, I picked him up and flew about 10meters straight up and sunk my teeth into his neck which basically tore it almost in half. I then just hovered with him hanging from my teeth screaming and dying before I dropped him and he landed on the car below.
Then I realised that the other guy had almost made it to my front door so I dropped and ran,(it was like time slowed down around me as I ran..vampiric speed)and I grabbed the guy. I then put my fingers together and pushed my claws through his chest and grabbed his heart which I ripped out to show him. I will never forget his face he was sooo freaked out. So I took a bite of his heart and then I sunk my teeth into his neck to finish him.
It was very impowering in a scary way.

Singing according to the aforementioned book: "This dream must be interpreted according to its details, much the same as a music dream and its meaning depends, to a great extent, on whether or not the sound was pleasing, but as a general guide: to sing in your dream signifies passing troubles; to dream you hear others singing foretells happy news.....To hear or join in the singing of hymns indicates recognition in community affairs."

Sometimes I do know im dreaming but i just can't change on how its course goes.
Any ideas?
Yes that's called lucid dreaming.
Here's a link. Start off by keeping a dream journal. That is always step number one!

Well it's just a book that's supposed to help guide you with your dreams and I thought it'd be interesting to post.

Oh it was.. sorry if I sounded...like something... Im just playing around and I never mean stuff.. meanly. I was up to more immoral and unethical things back then too so it was interesting to read. So thanks.

I always have dreams of Tornados!

also i have ALOT of dreams were things are chasing me killers, bigfoot like things arounds the neighbourhood while i'm hiding and looking for places to hide,
one dream i've had about 2 times now for some reason i'm a princess (i know lol

) in a court where there is a banquet being held then something terrible happens some big bad guys show up and someone had just been decapitated

(which by the way is my BIGGEST fear) and everyone is screaming and running aweay because his head was being thrown around by these big bad guys (there was more than 2) i'm shocked then one of them looks right at me!

and starts to chase me with his battle axe around the court and out to the feilds and i'm running as fast as i can. i'm running across streams and fences (which i think were near the castle in my dream) then i decide to run through the gardens (where there is a maze) when i'm almost through to the other side one of the bad guys jumps out from the side and grabs me then the one that has the battle axe comes up behind me whisper something in to my ear (i don't remember what) then decapitates me! and for some reason i can see my own body hit the ground and them take off with my head

man, that dream has scared me so much because i am petrified of being decapitated. full stop. nothing else scares me sooo much

Seems like your dream was wishful thinking, sorry about your grandfather I lost mine recently too. The jump to the other side to see him?...maybe the dream was him saying not to worry and he's in a better place...
Wishful thinking is right...i've so many dream involving diffrent girls....

Most recent remembered dream:
My area had been taken over by some thug and his chronies or whatever were going around killing everyone. I was hiding in my house from them and it was night out. I heard them come in my living room so I jumped out my window and stole the car they had come in. I started driving in it but it broke down right down the street. One of the captains of this whole things found me and had a saw on his hand. He held it up to my head and all of the sudden I had a chainsaw in my hand and I swept my arm around and cut him in half. Then I woke up.
I have some wierd dreams

Oh I just read the most unbeleivable thing: well that would probly be the one I had about the world being taken over by large ships with purple beams shooting out of the sky causing everything they touched to explode and I finished the dream by being melted alive.. heh..
