I remember tuning in to a ghost show and seeing a story about a complex in England. It had a church, a debtor's prison (or maybe just a regular prison), a graveyard and a residence. I want to say it was called "The Rectory" or "The Cloisters" or "Monk's _____". It was something religious sounding and they said it was outside London. I asked my friend who lived in London about it and she said it was a pub. Ummm...I don't think that's it.
Well, what they showed on the program was this underground prison where they've stopped taking tourists because they were getting violently attacked by unseen spirits. Apparently the nobleman who used to be in charge was totally ruthless. There was another story about a prisoner being put into the crypt for a few months and coming out totally insane, saying that the coffins moved around the chamber on their own. In recent years, ministers have tried to do exocisms on the place because of the number of visitors being attacked. The last minister who did an exorcism died a few weeks later and in a photo of the ritual itself, you can see a black shadow standing in a window behind him (it was clearly not a living person!). According to the show, this story made the papers in England. But what IS this place? I wish I could remember the real name! Does anyone know the full story?
