You see we bought an apartment in a building that was in the process of being built. We bought the apartment with nothing in it. There were naked walls (no paint no floor no bathroom no nothing). We hired workers to work on the apartment. At first everything was fine but then we had bad luck in everything that had to do with the apartment. The workers kept selling the materials and they screwed up the paint and added water to it then the walls started falling down. Anyway we kicked the workers out hired new ones that also screwed up then third ones that also screwed up. Later on we found out the first workers had fought here and got drunk. Since the day the first workers came here everything bad has started happening. After we moved and started unpacking the things we put in one place ended up lying somewhere else, where none of us even though of putting it. My daughters TV keep turning on at night and in the morning while the remote control is not even near her the TV isn’t programmed to do that we even checked the passport. We also had a very large amount of flies in my daughter’s room. Large isn’t even the word there were over a thousand of them and only in her room. On night I was scared to let her sleep there because the ceiling was black and filled with them and the flies where only in her room. We had bought spray against flies but it didn’t help that much. We also had mice in our house out of nowhere, no other people in this building had mice or flies. Also it is ALWAYS cold in our home even if it is 100 degrees outside it is freezing in here. Sometimes when I unpack at night I here footsteps. Last night I woke my husband and asked him to sit and listen maybe I was hallucinating. But when he sat down we both heard footsteps. I though maybe it was the neighbors upstairs I asked him today in the morning and he said he doesn’t even live there yet. What I want to know is can there be spirits from bad energy? For example like our first workers fighting here and getting drunk can that bring spirits or something or could it be that they did something to bring one here? Tell me if there is something I can do to get rid of it because I don’t want to hire a Father because here in Kiev where I live I kind of don’t trust the Fathers here. Please help me because I cannot take this anymore everything in this house is going wrong and I am beginning to get scared.

Wow, I'd just like to begin by welcoming you to our forum, A-Chan. I believe you are the very first member to join from the Soviet Union. Your English is impecable, by the way.

As to your problem, I really don't think it has anything to do with 'spirits', just bad workmanship and bad luck. I didn't know it could get that warm in Kiev, the coldness could just be a matter of perception. The flies and mice are another matter, is there a chance the workers could have walled off a dead animal, or food scraps? The problems with the electric and TV could be a number of reasons. You may find reasonable answers if you could only find competent workmen to address your problems. Even with your insights, however, it's difficult to provide foolproof remedies. I don't really think your trouble originates in the spiritual sense, however.

Hey A-Chan! I've been to Russia before, but only to St. Petersburg and Moscow and I positively loved it. I didn't get to see Kiev, though. But it does sound like your apartment's problems are due to it being very old and not being rennovated in a long time. I saw a lot of older Soviet-era buildings while I was in Russia, and a lot of them weren't kept up well. I thought it was ironic that the historic sites like churches and palaces from the Czar's era were the best maintained.

Thank you for replying and welcoming me. I am very glad to be a part of this website.

Well you see the building I live is brand new. it was just build around the middle of March or beginning of April. In the place the building was build nothing stood except for some grassland. Maybe there is an explanation for all this but I followed Magikman's advice and called the electric company and asked someone to come over and check. Thankfully someone did come but it had nothing to do with electrical problems. Today again the TV has turned on. But what really scared me the most is I could have sworned that I unplugged it. And about the flies and mice the workman could not have left any food here because everyday that they left me and my husband came to clean up and there was nothing left. Butt I am not concerned about the mice (they are gone now after 2 months of dueling, there were 13 of them). What I am concerned about is footsteps that I hear around 2-5 o'clock in the morning and the misshapenness in my home. Maybe there is some kind of explanation for all this but I still want to cleanse my home and I do not know every single detail on how to do it and I would like to know if anyone can tell me how to do a cleansing of my home.

This is just basic stuff but sage the house and say prayers of some sort. If anything get some sort of priest to go to your house.
