hello, this is a long story so bear with me, i have been looking for a sight, to try to explain something that happened to me a friend one nite . this happened about 14 yrs ago,i live in a small farming community on the east coast of the us. with lots of legends & ghost stories, anyway we riding on a dirt road it was around 1;00 am with woods, corn fields & soy beans on both sides as we were coming to a top of a hill when we looked ahead their was some water going across the road thought no big deal , irrigation pipe must have broke.when we got closer the water didn't look write. it had sides to it about maybe 2 to 3 in high the water looked as it was jello, it moved across the road in a steady stream and the way it moved was unlike any water i have ever seen. i stopped the truck, and looked at my buddy. he had his face to the window mouth open, i asked if he sees what i see he looked to me and shook his head and said yea, i put the truck in reverse and backed up to a driveway and never looked back the next day we were talking about it and both of us thought it was just seeing things. because we were at a party, had a few drinks well alot of drinks, and my girl friend said i looked pretty shookup about it. and never talked about it again.a week ago at work sitting at the lunch table a guy that i work with that is 19yrs old said something strange happed to him this past weekend, and started to tell the story about water moving across the road that was weird looking. after he told the story very similar to what i have seen, but the road he was driving down was in another county 35 miles away. and not on a dirt road but still on a back road. this got me thinking maybe the beer had nothing to with has anybody on this forum or anybody they have ever seen something weird like this before no.gif

How very weird. Can't imagine what it was. Maybe a shape-shifter in it's natural form (as in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (the worst among the Star Trek shows!))???

It obviously shook you up, but did you get any abnormally strange feelings about it? I mean, naturally, one would be a little scared of it, but was there an overwhelming feeling of dread, for instance? And have you ever been back to that stretch of road?
jh620
never seen the new star trek shows, no strange feelings or anything like that. been down that road many times day/nite seen nothing.but now it's not a dirt road most of the fields and woods are gone and a houses were built.
Raptor
Can you explain what you mean when you say it moved weirdly? Was it like it was moving by itself wherever it wanted kind of?
jh620
as far as moving ,it pretty much moved like water would across a road. but when water is flowing it is feathered on the sides this had sides at least a couple of inches tall like someone layed glass on both sides of the road and ran the water between. if that makes any sense. and the top of the water was thick the way jello would move on a plate.
ivytheplant
You know, it really could have been Jello. Cafeteria Jello always has some sort of odd quality about it. Maybe this is a secret supply laced with something alien that they use in hospital and prison cafeterias as some sort of experiment.

Frogspawn!!??!!??!!??
coldethyl
Yeah I agree with Anvil.

Here's a sample:

Ick.

Its unfortunate that you didn't get a sample of the stuff.

Perhaps its some form of ectoplasm? I think it could be since you spoke of their being many ghost stories in the area.

Good call.

Sounds like it was a liquid with a sort of membrane around it.
syrinx
Well, it was either frogspawn, and alien invasion or the alcohol was really talking. I think maybe the alcohol.

Did someone think it was a gun? Or did you bounce off of it when you fell off a building?? grin2.gif

How did it save your life???

I lived a year in Alabama and that video doesn't surprise me in the least. mellow.gif
OlDrippy34
It saved my life because I didn't want to live in a world without a video like that. So when it did show up I was all "Hey, cool, that's convenient."

Showgirls did that for me, too. God what an awful movie.

i know this might not have anything to do with your experience but it does mention a type of jelly creature.

American researcher Charles Fort wrote in his work “The Book of the Damned” that there were weird, jelly-like beings living in the Earth's atmosphere. Medusa-like creatures, Fort wrote, had stings and tentacles, which they used to hunt for birds. The existence of such creatures seemed to be unbelievable for a very long time, until American scientists developed a special substance, aerogel. The lighter-than-air gel is a substance, the state of which is represents both hard and gas condition. Researchers proposed that the flesh of the mysterious creatures could be made of a similar substance. The theory can be partly proved with an incident, which occurred on 28 December, 1958, in Florida. Detective Faustin Galegos found a strange object outside his house. The detective said that he took the object in his hands, but could not feel that he was holding it. It was a translucent ball, the size of a soccer ball, and it was practically weightless. The detective did not manage to preserve it, because it virtually melted in the air several hours later. Faustin Galegos said that he had an impression of holding an unknown dead creature in his hands.
