I have one story that I would like to share, its the only experience I've ever had with ghosts....And afterwards, a year or 2, I find myself thinking that I was just imagining it...anyway:

I was with my girlfriend at a bed & breakfast that she had picked out....We arrived in the afternoon, I brought our luggage into the room and went out on the balcony that was attached to the room...The bed & breakfast had been renovated, it used to be a church....

So, I was out looking around, a small white house was next door, (was looking in the backyard of the church and the backyard of the house)....My girlfriend was getting some smaller things in the car. I heard a voice saying "come here", I quickly turned around, expecting to see my girlfriend in the room, but she was no where to be found.....and the rooms at the place were far apart from each other...(just a theory I had on that).....Anyway, I didn't think much of it...

Later in the evening the couple that owned the place had supper for us, so we all ate in the main room together. That is where I learned for the first time that the place was actually haunted...They didnt advertise it as a haunted place...they actually have been trying to get rid of the ghosts staying there...So then I remembered what happened on the balcony and I told the couple....I remember she had a look of surprise on her face and she continued to tell me that the white house out back was once owned by a woman many years ago...she had been brutely killed there....(getting chills talking about this...) And she, the ghost, had spoken to a ghost hunter once...

After supper she called this woman that had been there on many occasions, talking with the ghosts..and I told her what happened...she told me that they never found who murdered her, and maybe she was wanting to tell me something.....freaks me out!!

So, that night was very interesting for my girlfriend and I.....not much sleep....OH, and another spooky thing....I remember going out on that balcony the next morning and I noticed an old bathtub near the house with old maniquins in it......Just put more spook in the spooky for me....

Not sure if I was just imagining something, given I had no idea the history.....Or if it was real....I would like to go back one day....WITH A GROUP.....

There are many other stories to the place....inside the church itself...

We have a church here that used to be a strip club back in the 70s, and the other open bible church used to be one of the rowdiest bars in Iowa. You should find out if the woman that was brutally murdered had the funeral in that church.

Like I said they never advertise the hauntings...but if you search it for that reason, you can find some links. I always feel the need to go back, but not sure what to expect...little scared!



If I can remember correctly, I don't think it was held there....The house out back is very close to the church...my balcony actually hung over the fence to the backyard. Is it possible she wanted to tell me information regarding her murder?

Sounds interesting. The fact the owners don't advertise it's haunted also suggests that they have no desire to cash in on that, as so many places now do now and if a place does you sometimes just got to wonder if there really is any story.

I have had several experiances with Ghosts/Spirits. I have one almost everyday. Ive encountered all kinds of things.
My very first experiance * when it all began* I was about 7 years old. I remember praying * I was a strict catholic than..now i have my own beliefs* asking to meet my great grandmother. SHe had died when I was 2. After praying I went to bed. I woke up wo the sound of my dog crying. I turned over and saw a lady in blue. I thought at first it was my grandmother. THe more I rubbed my eyes the more I realized it wasnt. If I could explain to you the feeling she gave me I would, but unfortunatly it is unexplainable. She smiled at me before turning into an orb and leaving...now of course *with me* when something good happens, bad follows. That was when I realized I was going to be doing this for the rest of my life. I dont fear anything. and it also doesnt help I have 2 portal, vortexs whatever they are called in my room...
