I work for a moonwalk blow up thingie company and i was picking up a unit that was dropped off at my families church. It is a babtist church in southeast alabama and also one of those globo churchs that has thousands of members and competes with other local globo churches in the surrounding area.

anyway. i was walking up outside and the preacher, who has been there for about 5 years, greeted me with the horned hand guesture. it was the first time i ever ran across it somwhere outside of the internet.

it looked just like this.

anyone else experienced similar guestures from preachers?

it scared me. i was confused. and now i am researching like crazy on these spiritual hand guestures.

why would a preacher use it?

think he could be infiltrated illuminati?

Think he was protecting himself from the evil eye... but i dont feel like i was bringing it on him.

what you guys know? I dont expect much.

Kianu Reeves (however you spell it) on Jay Leno last night used the hand signal.

It has several meanings to different groups of people.

It's a fairly comfortable hand gesture. If I use a clenched fist, it means "Black Power", an open hand means "Heil Hitler", the index or middle fingers alone have vulgar meanings in other parts of the world, stick my thumb out and someone might try to give me a ride... So at times I use it myself when happy or really into something.
Sweetpumper
Spiderman uses it to sling his webs.

Maybe he's just a metal fan.

haha we asked around and it turns out he greets everyone with it. He graduated from texas. he is promoting texas long horns. thats the same lame excuse george bush uses when he is asked about him doing it in public.

like locals from southern alabama and the people of the united states give a damn about who our preacher or bush cheers for.

whats even more creepy though is yesterday my grandparents showed us a newly taken picture of my two little cousins in their new pool. they live in southern florida. well in this picture they are both giving the horn guesture. a 13 year old boy and a 9 year old girl.

god is messing with my head. what timing to unload this stuff on me.

It is kindof freaky

If that sign is made and waggled back and forth from the wrist, it means "Hang loose", at least where I'm from.
OlDrippy34
It's really not that strange a gesture. A lot of the time when I get my picture taken or at a concert I'll throw it up. From what I've read, Ronnie James Dio started using it on stage, and metal fans just kind of adopted it. I think he said his grandmother used to use it to ward off the evil eye, but now it just seems to have come to mean "rock and roll," more or less.

The Horned God is Osiris, who was often depicted with the horns of a bull. Osiris was believed to be incarnate in a succession of sacred bulls, and worshipped in that form as the god Apis. This was yet another form and manifestation of Osiris as the God of Fertility and also of Death and Resurrection. And Osiris bears the marks of a lunar, rather than a solar god, for Set tears the body of Osiris into fourteen pieces, the number of days of the waning moon; and then Isis, the Great Mother, gathers those pieces together and restores Osiris to life again.

The Horned God is the Great God Pan, the Goat-foot God with a human torso and a human but goat-horned head, the God whose ecstatic worship was so hated by the Church that they used His description for their "Devil" and called Him the lord of all evil. Yet, to the ancients who worshipped Him, and to the modern Pagans and Witches that worship Him still, "Pan is greatest, Pan is least. Pan is all, and all is Pan.

The two names, Osiris and Apis, were later combined to form the name Serapis used for the Consort of Isis in the Hellenized version of the Mysteries of Isis that resulted when Ptolemy, one of Alexander the Great's generals, inherited the throne of Egypt after Alexander's death. Ptolemy's aim was to formulate a religion that both the Egyptians and their Greek overlords could share and relate to, and he succeeded so well that the Mysteries of Isis spread throughout the known world, and were the last of the religions of ancient Paganism to be suppressed by the Roman Empire after it officially adopted Christianity.

Satan is permitted to afflict God's people (Luke 13:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:18; Hebrews 2:14). But he is never permitted to win an ultimate victory over them (John 14:30-31; 16:33). A part of Satan's continuing ambition to replace God is his passionate yearning to have others worship him (Matthew 4:8-9; Revelation 13:4,12). Since God has frustrated this desire and put down Satan's rebellion, he has become God's exact opposite. He is "the wicked one” (Matthew 13:19,38), while God is "the Holy One” (Isaiah 1:4). Even though he was cast out of heaven, he still seeks to elevate his throne above God. He counterfeits all that God does, hoping to gain the worship of the world and foment opposition to God's kingdom. Satan is the ultimate source behind every false cult and world religion. Satan will do anything and everything in his power to oppose God, and those who follow God. However, Satan’s destiny is sealed – an eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).

The first image Represents the horned god of witchcraft, Pan or Cernunnos. Note the thumb under the fingers and given by the right hand. The next image is a sign of recognition between those in the Occult. When pointed at someone it is meant to place a curse. Note the thumb over the fingers and given by the left hand.

Horned Hand or The Mano Cornuto This gesture is the Satanic salute, a sign of recognition between it's satanic members.

It all adds up! Powerful world leaders and fans of music are all part of a vast global conspiracy of some kind.

I didn't even know I was part of this particular conspiracy, but I'm glad I am.

Some people get it confused with the American Sign Language sign for I love you. user posted image

I went to bonnarroo this year. just got back. People everywhere used this sign. They are just rocking on. But i am unable to say if that means something bad about bonnaroo or music in general. I also wonder if this hand guesture acts as a murda(i think thats right) and identifies with a specific range of energy vibrations that are universal. i dunno. im just abstract brainstorming.

They only thing that upsets me is the fact that a babtist preacher did it. And does it often. Out of place. And other political figures.

Do they do it consciously or unconsciously?
Celumnaz
Mudra! Yeah... I can see that... similar to the Hebrew Alphabet and Hand Gestures.

Both concious and un, it totally depends. Like I said in another thread, I can't count the times I've thrown a lit match into a pail of gas... it means absolutely nothing, yet the meaning is always there regardless.

It can't be used as a sole indicator of anything, much like a "beware water crossing" sign after a gentle shower... could be a flooded road, could be nothing... but the sign is still there. hrmm... that analogy falls short... wondering how can be described to a general audience without causing either "panic" or "apathy"? So I tend toward a flippant demeanor towards the stuffs... "panic" is harder to work with than "apathy", for me at least.

Edit: I loved that "abstract brainstorm", good stuffs
