I know this may not be the appropriate spot to post this, but I like the people here....

I was just thinking about the power that some people may have. I don't know if any of you have heard of this Criss Angel, but some of the things he does is really unexplainable IMO...I will post some sites that you can check out...Incredible stuff....Is it possible for someone to possess this type of energy, power, whatever you call it?

The floating thing he does where he floats in there air was shown on a documentry showing how some of these supposed peoples magic is done.



His shoes have hidden metal plates in them then a magnetic device is used to lift him off the ground it was quiet good.

Criss Angel is hot and all, but he is just a magician. He is quite the dishy one at that....

Yes he is just a magician. And i guess every magician has to try and pull of some kind of special trick or tricks that no other magician can do. But to tell people he is special and different is going abit overboard.


I guess some people who perform these so called tricks can get caught up in the hype they recieve and start to believe they are SPECIAL

Criss Angel is a very good magician and illusionist. I think it stops there. He's just VERY good at what he does. Afterall, it's his career. (That aside, I also wanna say he's pretty good looking Lol).

My brother told me Criss Angel says he's like...an angel or part angel or something?
Anyhow, thats just his image. All magicians have an 'image'.

Nonetheless, I'm a fan if his work.

Chriss Angel is an excellent magician. I really enjoy watching his show "Mind Freak".
But he is just an illusionist. They're all just very clever tricks. I don't believe he has
any supernatural powers other than self promotion.

I agree, its just a very very VERY good illusion......But even thinking its an illusion....how in the HELL does he accomplish the whole pulling apart a body in front of everyone? It's not like a magic show on stage...its right there in front of your face...

And he did this walking on water thing too....he walked across a pool while random people were swimming under him...half way across, he took off his shoes and then continued on across to the other side....I'm just trying to find ANY explaination for some of this...

If it is an illusion, how do you accomplish it with so many spectators right there within inches of the act? Defintely something that is revolutionary in todays fantasy world....Where is it going to go next? NO TELLING!!!

Well that's where the people are in on the magic. I knew a person once who went and saw David Copperfield make something huge disappear and they said it was a trick with mirrors and depending on where you sat in the stadium you could see it. So the people in the Criss Angel stunts are most likely just in on the stunt.

I don't really think it matters whether or not it's fake. Most people seem to agree that he's a good magician and he's definately fun to watch , so I suppose it's all just a good mystery until he's proven one way or another. =]

There was a writeup too on how the people on Mindfreak are uaually in on the tricks as well. That's sort of sad seeing as he's a decent magician. He shouldnt have to get staff and actors to stand around and go "wow".

Back on topic, he is a VERY VERY good illusionist and magician. I love watching his show 'Mind Freak'. While his stuff leaves me boggled and in question, not to mention amazed, they are all tricks and stunts. He just damn good.

But, who says he cannot be a bit psychic too? A mixture of both? Illusions. Stunts. Trickery. Magic....What is the truth on what he does?

It’s magic my friend, nothing far superior than that. I don’t someone with true psyche potential would expose themselves, it’s all just tricks, illusions of the mind’s eye.

and now for my oppinion: good magician. i can guess at how he does at least half of his tricks, but knowing for sure would take the fun out of it. i actually have a friend who BELIEVES he's real. while kinda stupid on my friends part, that shows just how good he is.

criss angel is a lesser 'magician'

most of the people on the show are Actors who are brought along to give credibility to his performance. eg where he walks through the glass its fake glass and the guy inside is asked to look shocked.

im sure he can do a great card trick though...

XD you could tell the guy was acting. he waited until the camera was up against the window to fall back into the chair. i know for sure some of them were actors but i do think a couple were real people who had no idea. it's obviously some kind of trick as he had to have something covering him when he was doing it. it's like the bigger version of the stunt where he got into a nightclub by borrowing someones jacket to walk through the glass. there are several earmarks on that show that you can tell who's the actor. i still kinda want to know how he levitates other people. XD if i could learn that trick i might be able to make some money!!!!

It's good to see illusionist in these posts. Illusion meaning... well duh.

In highschool I had the opportunity to know a very talented magician who said that all of the other magicians were fake. Not surprising but I would always try to harrass him into finding out what the secret to the tricks were. He never said He did stick lots of nails and stuff up his nose. He would bring James Randi around also to talk about everything being fake.

I think Criss angel had another show back then or at least specials. Does he still have that lisp? I remember thinking that he was good looking but I didn't like listening to him.

I have to say in my unprofessional opinion that I agree, it is more likely that most of the people on that show are actors rather than not. People think WWF is real also.

About 10 years ago, when my oldest daughter was 8 years old, we were at a local waterslide park. In the picnic area (only grass and picnic tables), there was a magician with a small gathering of children crowded around him on the grass. We walked over with our daughters to watch for a few minutes. As we walked up the magician asked for a volunteer for levitation. My daughter started jumping up and down squealing "Me! Me!". He asked my hubby and I if it was Ok and we told him yes. What really puzzles us to this day is that he levitated her (lying down) about 5 feet off the ground in an area where there was no stage, were no buildings....just grass. He even had me run my hand underneath her to show that there was nothing holding her up and I didn't see or feel anything there. He had her lay down on a board that was across the backs of 2 chairs, then he removed the chairs, so that she was still lying on the board, floating in the air. I'm sure it was simply an illusion........but I'll be darned if I'll ever understand how on earth he did it! Especially in light of the fact that there was no place for him to string wires or anything.
