I've heard little about this pre-historic shark to suggest that it really existed. Did it actually exist or is it a myth? Also, if it did exist, was it around at the same time as humans and are there any eye witness reports or photographs? If anyone could shed some light on this, i'd love to hear it.

Yes, Megalodon did used to exist, many millions of years ago. Some people say that there are some left today, but that's just a myth, there's no evidence to suggest that they do.
