Greetings everyone, long time lurker first time poster:

I stumbled across this video that shows how rice reacts to different frequencies. When the vibration changes the rice coalesces in the areas where the vibration is the least intense creating some interesting patterns.

When watching these 'patterns' I couldn't help but think of Crop Circles. What are your thoughts?

Here's a wiki article on Resonance.

Pretty cool demonstration. Is there something special about rice for it to be affected by frequencies this way? Makes me wonder if sand wouldn't do the same thing though. hmm.gif

WOW! this is really cool! Thank you for sharing this Bwelch thumbsup.gif

And yes, it does remind me of Crop Circles.. how very strange! I can understand why the rice does that... but now wonder if the same "technique" is used on some of the crop circles out there..

How very cool for shariing this. You should post more often!

Obviously crop circles are the product of people growing corn on slowly vibrating metal plates (picture a giant cymbal or glockenspiel) implanted into the Earth thousands of years ago by aliens, who would use timelapse photography to capture the phenomenon of harmonic motion manifested physically over many years so they can post it to their extraterrestrial version of youtube.
